All the developer effort that went into whatever tacked on multi-player they add should have gone to create more content to the single player.
But isntead we get some throw-away multi-player, and pieces of the single player chopped off to be sold to us as DLC.

Yep yep yep... What are you thinking Bioware!I'm not going to be a moron and judge the feature before playing it myself.vashkeyPost of the Year all years.
As long trophies/achivments arent attached to it im fine. I proboly play once or twice with my friend, but besides that ill leave it alone. I did the same thing with dead space 2.
These days all the games include multiplayer, nothing new and all is left is for Final Fantasy to have multiplayer. Online pass confirmed also
Depends what the MP consists of. Some standalone story based co-op missions with different characters could serve to deepen the plot and universe further, that would probably work, if they do it right very well in fact. PvP? Eh, I'll pass, I'll stick to the SP. I'm just waiting for some actual footage or at least conformation that it exists, let alone playing it, before I make any rash judgements.
EDIT: Ooh, would you look at that, a Twitter comment from Casey Hudson:
"Yes, co-op MP missions for [Mass Effect 3]: they're real, and they're spectacular. Rest assured it's nothing of what you've feared. More soon…"
[QUOTE="finalstar2007"]Final Fantasy has done multiplayer plenty of times now. and good multiplayer for that matter. well, crystal chronicles is fun. These days all the games include multiplayer, nothing new and all is left is for Final Fantasy to have multiplayer. Online pass confirmed also

what a depressing day this is, everytime i hear bioware talk about me3 i get less and less hyped for it, it may end up like dragon age 2, and that is something which no one wants
sounds worse. It will score well though. Bioware has community mannagers in a whole other league compared to most companies. They haven't made a good game this gen, maybe last 7 years yet their games get high scores galore. You can even use the sale arguement against them. Uncharted 2 sold more than mass effect 2 which puts into perspective that their success isn't based on gamers persepective.what a depressing day this is, everytime i hear bioware talk about me3 i get less and less hyped for it, it may end up like dragon age 2, and that is something which no one wants

If it's anymore than co-op I'll just skip ME3 and check out the ME wiki to see how the story ends.Moriarity_
So because it has multiplayer you'll skip out entirely? Obviously you're not even an ME fan so why do you care about the story?
I really need to stop coming on this website. The amount of stupidity makes me want to just kill myself..

Huh. You really don't want to go to the Bioware official forums at the moment then, I bet. That's bad.I have several things to say about this.
It may be a waste of resources, it may not be.

As much as I don't like the idea of MP, EA ultimately has the ultimate say on what Bioware does. EA funds the project and Bioware essentially has to follow what EA says. If they refuse to things they would be breaking the contract with EA (EA owns them, so they are pretty bound to it). Now Bioware can argue with EA kind of expressing their opinion, but it's still up to EA to make the ultimate decisions. EA really wants to slap mp on everything when it's clearly not needed. Ultimately I hope EA wises up and will realize that half-baked mp slap on's are not needed for future games. Dragon Age 3 better not have any mp attached to it!
