Worth the money?

My XBox get its first "RROD" two weeks ago. I was thinking about buying a PS3 for a few months, so I decided to go ahead and buy a PS3. I was going to play some games (Madden 09) and watch some Blueray movies on it. When I went to Gamecrazy to buy a PS3, the employee there at the store told me not to buy a PS3. The PS3 is not worth the money if I'm not going to use all the function on it. Ok.............what I'm I miss here? Can someone please tell me all the function on the PS3 and is it worth the money to buy one.

You can't reason with fanboys. If that guy had any sense of reality, he would have recommended the PS3 over the RROD 360, as any sane person would.

Anyway, if you're planning on not only using it as a gaming console, but also playing blurays, definitely pick up a PS3. I still prefer the 360 from a gaming standpoint, but as a gaming console/HD movie player, the PS3 is sick.

sounds like you met a real life fanboy. In reality, you should get the PS3. It has blu ray, Cell, firmware updates, Infamous, heavy rain, free online, and superior graphics. Plus, it is made by Sony. Definitely get the PS3, and join the playstation nation: we are all one.Fart_Storm

Only if you truely want one and you have enough reasons to buy one, don't follow the yes's and no's you will gain. They will not get you anywhere closer.

I can sure find some amazing games to play on the PS3. In fact my Ps3 games get more play time than my 360 game so for me the 360 is lacking must have games.

im with ya buddy seriously lacking good games except viva pinata 2 and gears but those are the only 2 games im getting this year for the 360 while my ps3 is getting like 5+

Get a PS3, its a great gaming console, a Bluray player, has a good online service and reliable hardware... there are already many great games out and some great titles coming up...

When you have both 360 & PS3 you will realise how some fanboys in here look ridiculous when they bash the console they dont own or exclusive titles they will never get to play/enjoy... (am including myself since I sometimes act like a fanboy and criticise/bash Wii & DS)..

In the end all systems have great games and got their fair share of pros & cons.....

Fanboys need jobs too, TC. And obviously that employee who told you not to buy a PS3 is a huge fanboy.

Get a PS3 if you want one, it's a great system indeed.
