Well so far from what I understand combined all of the next gen systems is still yet to be half of PS2 sales so it is a pretty strong point right now granted there is that dude with 9 PS2s or whatever.

I wonder what the sales of the ps2 are from exactly the start of when the 360 came out, I bet overall the ps2 is still winning this generation

If the PS2's software sales exceed that of the other consoles for the next five years I would call that a win, and I would imagin Sony would kick themselves for bothering with the PS3. Obviously that isn't going to happen, but I agree it would be hilarious :D.

How would this happen since it is losing sales, and sales oftenly are bad in the beginning of a consoles life?

But IF it happened, it would be hillarious

BUT! think of the fact that the games are cheaper for ps2 now. So sony won't get that much money for the game, right? Or am I wrong?

its actually beating the ps3 and 360 so far.

wouldn't it be funny if the ps2 sold more consoles since the ps3 released than the ps3 itself, after the next 2 years :lol:

Sony wouldn't spend billions developing, manufacturing and marketing the PS3 just to allow the PS2 to win which would mean huge losses for Sony. After a while Sony will stop making PS2 so to push the sales of PS3. Personally I think that will be by the end of 2008. It will make no business sence to keep it going longer even if people still want to buy it.

Its dying out... I feel it since I only own a PS2... Only my DS and PC connect me to the new gaming territory...

But I'd have to admit there are some games I still want to buy for it!
