As for that I don't believe sony paid for it..ect but i do believe cows overinflated numbers in their statements, and they made false reports on many forums...ect

I have never met a person in real life that has had a 360 and not RROD at least once. (Over 20but under 50)

RROD is as real as your attempt to downplay it.

It wouldn't suprise me but then again it use to have about a 30% failure rate and to get that kind-of rap is just unacceptable. The 360 console I've had for about 2 years has gotten it once and it wasn't that big of a deal for me but it's still a frustration that MS could've and should've handled better (imo). cool_beans1

They had to front that warranty, because if they didn't, then sales would have dropped sharply, as nobody is going to buy a console, only to have topay for a repair in a year.

It's not an overinflated problem, it was a huge problem, and potentially still is, we'll have to see how Jasper does.

that they paid off many of publications to overstate it and very few people get it and they pay quiting employees to not leak( using their massive money from ps2). I have had my 360 and it has never RROD only about one of my friends has got it. Btw Im a Manticore and Sony is known for its brutal campaign ads ( they are like John McCain except if ps3 ran for President it would get way less votes) I did enjoy the Killzone though.Banjo_Kongfooie

The fact that M$ later increased the warranty to 3yrs to cover for RROD is enough proof alone. If they didn't want Sony to use this against them then perhaps the issue should have been fixed in the first place.

The design and integration testing of the 360 was obviously crap.

MS deserves every bit of abuse it gets for shoddy design.

Why you would make such a thread, hypothesizing about some insane consipiracy involving Sony?...well it just hurts my head.

Having said that, I still love my 360 and play it more than my PS3 and Wii.

Getting the RROD once was enough for me to prove that its real. My friend got it 4 times. Of all of the eight 360 owners I know that have owned them for more than 6 months, all of them have gotten it.

Based on my past experience, I can say with the utmost confidence that you will most certainly get the RROD. You will get it.

MS had the upper hand in marketing because their ads are about 500% better then Sonys ads and Sony has never done anything to try to damage the competition? Some of you cows truly are delusional...

Also one DISC TRAY problem right out of the box, but they gave me a new one when i went back.

Love the 360s line up of games, but this hardware is just terrible.

LOL not a chance. MS knows exactly how many are breaking and they wouldnt spend billions on the extended warrenty just because Sony said 360's where breaking.

Dude RROD is real. Trust me I was just like you... I thought RROD would never happen to me... all these people don't know how to take care of their 360s but boy was I ever wrong.

The fact is even though my 360 RROD'd twice... it's still my favorite console. It has the best games, the best online experience, the best entertainment. It has the whole package. Sure RROD sucks but it doesn't change my opinion that 360 is a great console. I'm sure Microsoft will learn from it... just as Sony did with the ps2 because the ps3 doesn't seem to have many issues. Live and learn.

Couple of problems :

1.) Sony could NEVER outwit M$ by using publications, especially in NA.

2.) Your personal Experience with the 360 and your friends DO NOT equal the worlds. I have had the 360 SINCE 2005!!! I have had RROD 3 times (once a year), and E74 once. My personal experience doesn't equal the worlds, but WHy don't you get a job at RETAIL and see how many 360's come back. You may get a better understanding of this phenom.

3.) Sony is not known for BRUTAL Campaign ads, they are known for CRAZY Campaign ads. BTW : Do some research on M$'s ad campaigns, you will find A LOT of similarities between both MEGA CORPS.

4.) None of this matters, we are GAMERS.
