Defintely not. PS3 is failing because of price, hardware problems, which would not be better if it were released earlier before the 360. It would been a lot worse.

No, the thing that would of held it back then is the same thing that is holding it back now, the price.

No doubt it would have sold more that it did although, maybe not a hole lot more +100,000 people b/c of the price tag.

The PS3 would be doing the same....same software lineup, features, etc. The difference is that the industry wouldnt have given the 360 or Wii the time of day if they launched months after the PS3. So it wouldnt matter how many consoles are sold, all that would matter is the PS3 would have the the market eating out of the palm of its hands.

Game On......

Ya, if PS3 came out the same time X Box 360 did with titles like MGS 4 and FFXIII following months later, it would be doing a lot better.

No it would be dominating if ti launched with 1. home 2. The online it will be getting ... today, march 8th 3. with motorstorm, Liar, and Oblivion. I would have wanted one so badly if that was the launch.

Yes and no. I bought the X360 cause I really enjoyed my Xbox. But, if the PS3 would've come out first, absolutely. The PS3 would have had sold 20-30 million consoles worldwide. Instead, Sony decided to talk alot of nonsense and fell short on many of their promises. If PS3 would've been released first Sony would've crushed the X360 and the Wii. Finally, PS3 is doing some cool stuff, but they have yet to innovate. Oh, and Blu-Ray is not innovation, it's the inevitable. You have HDTV, why not HD-DVD, HD-Radio, HD Gaming, etc? Kingyoto, you have brought an excellent point. I give you props.

Definitely the major selling point of the PS3 is it's "omg gud grafix lol". I must compare it to the 360, yet again. The PS3's processor (Cell) is an amazing little piece of technology. It in many ways is better than the processor of the 360 (Xenon). As for the GPU of the PS3 (RSX) it's a different story entirely. The 360's GPU (Xenos) is far superior than RSX. And, the 360 has more Net Memory Bandwidth. This said, each console is well... about exactly the same in terms of power. In the end, the hardware should not be a deciding factor, the games should. Time and time again this doesn't seem to matter to the hardcore fanboys of each system. And, as most know, what gives the PS3 it's price is the included Blu-Ray drive, which is a next generation media format. I really wish Sony had just gone with a DVD9 Drive. But, they decided to put in a new format, that has yet to have it's future determined. Blu-Ray is currently being dominated by HD-DVD sales, and may turn out to be another failed Sony supported format. Or it may turn around. Much is still unknown. And to include a fairly unimportant factor, the Xbox 360's X12 DVD Drive has faster transfer speeds than the PS3's X2 Blu-Ray Drive, which in turn causes better loading times.

Didn't you mean to say that the 360 had a lot of hardware problem and not the PS3?

I'm fairly certain that that is a false statement, show me proof. The reason I say this is because the majority of the big film companies support BluRay exclusively with regualar DVD. You might be right, I would just find it hard to believe.

Yes. It would be doing better if it came out with the same lineup and a year headstart. But, if the PS3 and 360 went head-to-head, the 360 would have won.

No. Its crappy now and probably would have been just as crappy even with a year's head start. Sony just blew it with this one. Big time.
