Say the Wii had similar specs to the PS3/360 and it was $400.

Would u still buy one?

I wish the Wii had next gen specs because after playing MP3 last night I was Kind of dissapointed...I remember thinking of what a next gen Zelda and Metroid would look like back when the Wii was known as the Revolution...but my dreams were shattered for atleast another 5-6 years :(

No. I kinda regret buying the $250 Wii so far. It does not have the game lineup I had hoped it would have, and I don't play it much as it is.

No. Because that is far too expensive for a gaming console.

You were disappointed with Prime 3? I was floored by Prime 3. I don't think I have ever been as impressed with a game in my first 2 hours of playing it. I was more impressed with Prime 3 than I was BioShock... and I loved BioShock.

Probably not. Part of the appeal is the price. Right now, the only system that has enough games for me to drop 400 dollars is the 360. In. My. Opinion.

Most definitely....it would be awesome. I would rather buy a $400 Wii than a $250 Wii

i would buy a wii now if it had a bigger storage medium built in and it doubled as dvd player and had achievemnts and dump the friend code and go with a gamer tag, it would have been my first choice over 360, and would trade in my 360 if it had the above features but you cant argue with 360's gamesthough

No. I simply refuse to buy a console that's more than $300. It's just not worth that much money.

No. I won't spend more than $299 for a game system (and it better come with a game).

I don't want the industry to get comfortable thinking they can charge more and more each generation.

Preach on brother! It's not that people can't afford it, it's the principle of the thing.

If nintendo would have gone "next-gen" with the Wii, and had compitent online, standard HDD, and HD visuals, with a ~$400 price tag, and a sweet lineup of games, with the wii mote... I think Nintendo would definitely be owning this gen. (not just in sales).

if they don't raise the price then you get a little better last gen. tech gets more and more expensive. everything else goes up gas, electricty. then you have milk that went up in price. look at housing ect. the people that make these machines 360 ps 3 ect charge more to make them. people get higher mouthly sallaries the parts go up in price. how in the hell can they not go up in price like everything else in this world. if they don't go up you get last gen parts. that is why i don't get the wii sales because people are really paying 250 for a new controler.

No, I wouldn't buy a system that cost more than $300 in any situation.

It really has me worried how sony and M$ have huge pricetages on their systems. What if that becomes a trend and we begin to see $100 dollar or more raises each gen? I'd ruin the industry.

Why are all of these people saying they wouldn't buy a 400 dollar console, when the PS3 is 600 and the 360 was 400 when it came out :?

Yeah same. Good price point where it is because people aren't afraid to get it as a secondary.

I guess we have all the non current gen owners making their voices heard....that combined with Wii-only owners.

I only own one current gen system, the Wii, but im getting a 360 in a month or two, hopefully only a month and a half. GeOW, Bioshock, Madden, and soon Mass Effect, mm yup.

No, just like I won't buy a $399.99 Xbox 360--I guess it's what, $379.99 now? Even so, it would have been a collosal failure if it went that route, anyway, which wouldn't have been so appealing, either.
