Would you buy a PS Vita for $149.99?

My inside* sources are saying we are in for a price drop, maybe even colossal. Maybe enough to make you impulse buy one. Would you get a Vita for $149.99? I think this would be a fantastic idea and may be Sony's last chance to push this thing.

I paid $200 for mine, and after owning it for two years I'd tell people to stay away from it altogether. Even at $100. It's really nothing more than a Persona 4 Golden machine.

This is actually my stance on every console except the 3DS.

I'd buy the Oled model for $150. For the new one? Maybe $100. I said it LONG ago that the Vita will become popular long after the fact. I still think it will. Cult scene for areas we do not discuss.

it has a massive library of games, even though many of them are multiplats. I prefer to play them on handheld. Child of Light to go? Yes, please. Rayman Legends? oh yea. Velocity 2X? bring it!

I already have one, and I paid $249 for the walking dead bundle. I played Persona 4 & Toukiden on it. I can still honestly say, that it hasn't been worth it. No matter how good Persona 4 is, the vita might as had been an android tablet . The neglected support for the platform has been abysmal.

Not a chance. The thing is basically a PS4 remote at this point. 3DS is a far better handheld with better games.

If we add the fact that if you want to play something on the go for a while , new gen mobiles are more than enough.

The Vita is a great system. Currently loving GRIM FANDANGO on it. Solid handheld, just mostly use it for indie games and downloadable games.

You can at least say the Vita has different games than the 3DS, so it's a good alternative. The Vita has all kinds of potential, but Sony never capitalized on it. The Vita is pretty capable of very awesome stuff, and it has alot of great games some that are exclusive and others that can be found on console... for me though, having a Vita is great for downloadable games like Hotline Miami and Grim Fandango.

my point is the price isnt the complete issue. they downgraded the hardware in order to lower the price... thats like selling you a new ferrari for 30,000 but the motor is from a toyota camry.

new 3DS upgraded the hardware for the same price.... kudos to nintendo.

Upgrading without a charger. Cheap and cutting costs in a different way. And the OLED was gone well before this $149 rumor. And didnt the price drop at that time also? Pretty sure the Vita launched at a higher price than the current $199 price tag....

Price drop happened when they went from OLED to LED. PS Vita is still more powerfu than 3DS. So a third party charger is the alternative?

Nintendo cutting out the charger is ridiculous and cheap. I honestly looked at buying a 2DS and saw it didnt come with a charger. Nope.

Definitely keep the charger. When you buy a system you should buy it whole. It's ridiculous that alot of consumers (like me) would buy a 3DS and not know it didnt come with a charger. In fact the only reason I found out the 2DS didnt come with a charger was because I did research on the 2DS vs 3DS.

You're acting as if LED is horrible to deal with. Yeah OLED is better, but the LED is fine and I played on the PSP for years with the LED. Hell what does the 3Ds use?
