It seems to me that if you want a true console experience, you're going to go with the Pro. It has great exclusives, play multiplats well, and is cheaper. Switch will give you your Nintendo fix, and can also serve as handheld (with probably really bad battery life lol). Then there's the good ol' gaming PC, which has its own exclusives, and has the 1st party games that are coming out for Xbox as well. So what would make you choose an Xbox Scorpio over these three, SW? I ask you.

Fuckno. What good is superior hardware with no games? Any game that gets announce by Cancelsoft could get pulled at any time. They are just untrustworthy as a company. No amount of hardware can bring the faith back. R.I.P.

I need a new 4K Blu-ray player (for ground floor) and Scorpio would be a candidate. HDMI 2.1 with adaptive sync UHDTV would be a candidate. In terms of games, I wouldn't be starting at ground zero with Xbox Scorpio.

My two gaming PCs are located on the 1st floor i.e. one PC for semi-mobile LAN party (within the same city) and one for heavy tower PC server.

My gaming laptop is for mobility outside my home city.

There's a remote chance for PS4...

The scorpio is stronger and I don't like sony exclusives, All I play is fifa and magic duels, the latter is not on the ps4 (pro), the first uses added content exclusive to xbox (yes exclusive to xbox not on the pc). I also play the occassional multiplat so the fact that the scorpio is going to blow the pro out of the water is just icing on the cake.

Did I mention I like the controller better? The backward compatibility ? the network service?

Already bought a Pro, so MS needs to pull a rabbit out of it's hat before I'll consider the Scorpio.

Giving the facts that we know jacked about Scorpio's specs and all that, no point in discussion why anyone would buy it over PS4/Pro, Switch, or PC.

And no, I have said it multiple times, I'm NOT interested buying Scorpio when my original Xbox One still works just fine.

Nah, I'm pretty sure I'm skipping the Scorpio and Pro. I have my original X1 and PS4 and I see no reason to upgrade considering I have a very capable pc as well. The only console that may be in my future is the Switch. But it should actually have a unique library of games.

I have have a regular PS4, so the exclusives are covered. Considering the Scorpio for the better multiplats.

I'm not sinking a fortune into my computer to make it a dedicated gaming rig. Setting the thing up to game comfortably would also be a pain in the ass.

My friends are getting a Scorpio; 90% of the games I buy are Multiplats and they will probably perform better on Scorpio then the PS Pro. and as @commander said, "Did I mention I like the controller better? The backward compatibility ? the network service?" Some of us still have back logs and some of them are from last gen. (Shit, some are from PS2!!!) I like the idea I wont have to rent those games on a new console.

And don't get me started on the PS Pro and connectivity issues. I moved into my apartment on Dec 1. I got my wifi set up, connected my PC, X1S and Pro to it. In the past few days, I turned on my PS4 and noticed I wasn't online. Okey doke, I'll just sign it back in. NOPE!! We no rike a you cainetao11!!! My PS4 Pro will not, I repeat WILL NOT connect to my network anymore. I sign it on with the password as it was before and for some reason it times out before connecting every single time I try. Fuk you very much Sony. I have to go buy a 30 foot Ethernet cable now

Seeing as I know next to nothing about scorpio and switch it's pretty hard to answer that. I don't have a 4K telly so no point getting a pro over my PS4 and i have a PC but it's getting on a bit.

What the hell... yes!

With Microsoft offering their games on PC and the Scorpio, the Scorpio will be the first console in a long time I actually pass. Why play an inferior version of a game if I can put it on my superior Pc?

If the Scorpio has universal mouse and keyboard support for all games? Sure. I'd take it over my current 4-year old PC. Without support for my favorite control scheme, no thanks. I'd take my weak-ass, 720p laptop over it.

No

PS4 Pro and Switch most likely.

I tried gaming on a PC, didn't like it. I even built my own custom PC to do so. Enjoyable at first but too many headaches.

I don't know what the scorpio is, so no comment from me. (I need to see the actual console working first)

If I wanted a 4k Blu ray player I would probably pick up a One S

Hell no lol! I own a gaming PC and PS4 Pro and I truly believe it's the best option this gen. I have so many quality games to chose from I'm overwhelmed most of the time. Scorpio is a redundant waste of money if you already own a PC and PS4 and it has no games.

The Scorpio is the best console If u don't have a gaming PC. It is the most powerful and would offer the best versions of multiplats among consoles. However, PC is still the best option and puts them all to shame. The Scorpio is pretty useless to a PC gamer though as there are no exclusives and need to buy the console. This is a good thing as all games should be on PC. Forcing people to buy a console to gain access to exclusives is a shitty practice that does not benefit gamers. All games should be available on an open platform such as PC for all to enjoy.

Why would anyone go with a faux 4K console like the Pro when you could get actual 4K gaming with the Scorpio? That's the real question solidcow.

For the foreseeable future, as of right now, Switch is the only gaming hardware I will purchase. I already have a PS4.

Xbox has a chance to win me over at E3 though, I will keep an open mind.

Scorpio will not be a real 4K console either. It will not be doing 4K/60fps on demanding titles. Hopefully, it will at least be a proper 1080p/60fps console.

Omg another one of these threads...

I'll get Scorpio because I like Xbox and its games, and I want a powerful system which will have the best multiplats. And I don't want to game on PC.

It's not rocket science.

But I might get either a Switch or PS4 to compliment it.

Some console games get it right, but far too many don't.

Probably not. I'm getting a switch. I had thought about getting an Xbox but of o do it'll be after switch and ps4. I'm not certain but it feels like MS is pulling back games wise. They did this with 360 where as the system reaches a certain age and the number of exclusives dwindles. MS is lazy to me in the software space.

Proper 4K doesn't have to be 4K/60 buddy. Proper doesn't mean it has to be 60fps.

Once again you really have no clue yet since it hasn't released. And 4K/30 is still 4K whether you think it's "proper" or not.

Actually, 60fps is what makes it a proper gaming experience. Even Nintendo on their shit Wii U hardware acknowledge this as they often target 60fps for a proper gaming experience. They will target 720p/60fps instead of 1080p/30fps because they know the game will be much better for it. Resolution doesn't mean shit if it is not running at 60fps. Any increase in detail and clarity does not make up for the lack of smoothness, increased input lag, and downgraded feel of the game.

I would get the Scorpio over those others for the better exclusives, better graphics and performance, better online service and to play with friends and family who are all on Xbox.

Not really with some of the lower end GPUs from this new gen. A Nvidia GTX 1050ti for $140 or an AMD Radeon RX 460 for $130 only need an available PCIe slot (i.e. no cables from the PSU needed to power them) to power them which makes for a very affordable & very easy upgrade to almost any pre-built PC made in the last 5 yrs. Also either GPU will give much better performance over the base PS4 or either XB1 model out right now. The PS4 Pro has slightly more GPU power than either but you can not leverage it properly like you can on PC. So IMHO a PC with one of those cards, a half decent CPU, & 8GB of RAM is a better bet than any of the consoles.

YES I would, if my original XBOX ONE died on me.

I don't care about PC gaming. So that leaves the Switch, which I would buy instantly over a PC and PoS4 Pro.

People that ask this same question over and over again I really feel are retarded now LOL. Why would anyone want the Scropio or any Xbox over PC, cause they aren't a PC gamer............

How hard is that for people to comprehend?

Some people aren't a Nintendo gamer, some aren't a PlayStation gamer but do you question why they don't buy those consoles? No you don't, only Xbox and try to hype up buying something they don't want to play games on a console they do want like the Xbox LOL, just dumb now.

Yep.

While I will be getting a Switch and a PS4 Pro the Scorpio will be my main system of choice because I like the games it has and I prefer the Xbox controller, online service, and achievements.

Scorpio will not be a real 4K console either. It will not be doing 4K/60fps on demanding titles. Hopefully, it will at least be a proper 1080p/60fps console.

And you know this how? It'll be more of a 4K machine than the Pro will ever be. And why does 4K have to be 4K/60 to be true 4K when we don't even get 1080/60 now yet it's still considered 1080.

6 TFLOPS is not enough for a proper 4K/60fps. The current consoles are not proper 1080p/60fps either. The only way to get the proper 1080p/60fps gaming experience is on PC. If you are not gaming at 60fps or higher, you are doing it wrong. This has been the standard on PC for many years and it is time the consoles catch up.

Sooooo allll these generations of consoles and games haven't been "true" or "proper" gaming huh? Ummm ok you can have this conversation with yourself. Move those goalpost amigo, I'll continue to enjoy some of these games that aren't "proper".

I like to do more than gaming with my console, I'm a console gamer, love backward compatibility, love game sharing where we could play the game at the same time on our individual profiles, love the best online service, have more active players and community and a marketplace where I could receive and earn currency so I save more and have the most powerful console. So the Scorpio just fits my needs better than other systems. PlayStations isn't future proof because it lack the features and options I appreciate from Xbox. So as a console gamer, the double S, Scorpio and Switch is the best combo for my needs.
