Platinum games have made some great games this gen all being new IPs they didn't sell quite well but they got very good scores. So which did you like better Bayonetta or Vanquish and would you like to see a sequel? IMO, Bayonetta is the best hack n slash this gen also its my runner up GOTY 2010...Vanquish was good but its got nothing on Bayonetta and when you compare them together Bayonetta wins 9 times out of 10. Bayonetta 2 - Hell Yes Vanquish 2 - Thanks, but no thanks.
Neither! More new IPs, in a different genre. Didn't think much of Madworld but Vanquish and Bayonetta are both up their with the best of their respective genres. Attack a new genre Platinum!
wasint wowed by ether game,but if I had to pick I guess another vanquish. Im hopeing I enjoy thier upcoming game since like I said the previous ones didint do much for me.
New IP would be nice... but they are doing Anarchy Reigns right now, coming out January. Maybe they can do another new IP after that and then start with sequels, Bayonetta 2 and Vanquish 2 just gotta happen.
If I had to choose between the two, I'd say Vanquish, because the potential was there(Best TPS Gameplay without a doubt), but the campaign really had a lot of flaws like the lack of enemy variety and such.
At least Bayonetta got a campaign with a lot of variety.
A properly made DmC. As much as I knew the combat in Bayonetta was leagues better than all DMC's but the third's, I couldn't stand the style, setting, characters and music.
I recently checked out Anarchy Reigns. It sounded like a boring generic FPS to me. >_> It looks like a Super Smash Bros. for Platinum Games since I read it has characters from their previous games. So I think they'll keep making new IPs and possibly going back to Anarchy Reigns when they get a bunch of new IPs so they can add to it. Even if they don't do that, their games have pretty fun demos so I'll probably pick that one up. I don't think anyone could make a game like that better than them anyway.
I cant get into Japanese hack n slash, It just reduced down to me button mashing and shouting at the TV.
Vanquish is everything a shooter should be, fast, mad guns, massive bosses, hordes of cannonfodder. Its a great contrast to Gears Of War, where you pick a place to sit, and clear out everyone from your comfy safe wall.
I agree with all those saying Vanquish 2 as well. They perfected the gameplay, but it felt so under-developed. It would be like if Super Mario Galaxy 2 came out with the first couple worlds... an amazing game, just doesn't really expand enough on its greatness.
Bayonetta, the game has so much potential for improvement. The level and enemy design of the game were pretty bland, get a more interesting backdrop going on with the mechanics of the first game and you have yourself a winner.
Vanquish 2, obviously. Even champ, the former king of SW would agree with me. He was such a big fan of Vanquish. He never seemed to care for Bayonetta, though... VANQUISH 2 FTW!
I'd say Vanquish because it has potential. The core gameplay is there, they just need to fix a lot of other stuff. I almost wanted to puke every time a cinematic came up or I started to listen to the voice work. It almost killed the game for me.

I just picked up Bayonetta for $10 for PS3 (inferior version) and I still think it is one of this gens best games out there! Awesome and deep gameplay coupled with some of the best visuals I've ever seen on both a technical and artistic level. I still have yet to play vanquish, but I intend to.
