Separate client, ability to purchase third-party games, Battleworks, etc. Steam is by far the largest DD service I think they could definitely use more competition and I think Blizzard is one of the few companies that could pull that off.

No, because then Activision would have their fingers all over it.

Terrible idea. I'd rather see SC2 purchasable on Steam. Now that's an idea. :)

Exactly, I hate getting PC games off of another DD client. I'd rather have Steam for a single big collection.

What is wrong with that? Then instead of getting special discounts, we get specials where you pay them more than the game was originally worth. Sounds awesome to me.

then we have no competition....and that would be bad. however an app that could automatically sign you into all your services and provide cross service comms would be handy. hmm could be an interesting project. anywho yeah why not? battle.net seems pretty kewl. i just entered my old D2 and its expansion keys into it and now i have a permanent backup free of charge. nice :). letting other publishers and devs publish their games and mods on the service would be kewl. still i go to impulse first for my DD purchases. rooting for the underdog and all that :D.

No, because that means more proprietary software.

No, bad bad bad bad idea. Competition is very good. If there was one universal monopoly, that's bad for us gamers.

tbh I wouldnt care at this point, they are only communication tools, and social networking, im fed up of having 10+ profiles just to get everything I would like ... it just doesnt work. Raptr tries... but then it lacks things that xfire has.... xfire is by far the best, I dont see the big deal about steam, its worse, besides the fact that the DD list is bigger.

No. I wish Steam, Battle.net, GWFL, Xfire & Gamespy Comrade were intergrated into 1 mandatory service for all PC gamers.

It would be so much better than XBOX LIVE , but yes I would, dont see a problem with it at all. "Monopoly" of what? communications? thyere competing now and yet they barely ever upgrade anything or strive to take over thier competitors in any area. Whens the last time Xfire did anything noticable?

They're too greedy unlike Valve. Instead of big deals like steam has every game will be $10 more

I see nothing wrong with a standard communication method but I thought he was always referring to the DD aspect.
