Would you rather 5 or so AAA games a year or 10-20 AA-A games a year?

Would you rather have 5 or so AAA games, i'm talking the best of the best games to play a year and that is it or 10-20 ok to great games a year to play? Keep in mind that that is ALL you can play, so if you pick the AAA games you only have 5 to 10 games a year to play but they are the best of the best or 10-20 games that are good to great a year.

I'd probably go with the 10-20 A-AA games, without knowing genres. Some of my favourite games didn't attain AAA.

More games = more fun

10-20 AA games, because the chance is at least one is going to be amazing :D

10-20 games. AAA doesn't gaurentee I'm going to like something, on the assumption I don't know more is better considering A and AA are still fine titles.

The way I see it, having 5 AAA games a year is better... why?? because the rest of the games are bound to get A-AA anyway.

Since I rarely play a game more than twice, I'll take more games. 5 games is few for a year.

This, AAA games aren't as fun for me. I enjoy niche titles a lot more.

I rather have the more games even if they are only AA-A.

The AAA games , good thing for me the ps3 has both quality and quantity since the ps1 days.

You know the whole, "Editor's Choice" tag on AAA games? They have much more value in the gaming community.

That's why everytime there's a AAAE these forums explode.

i understand that but the whole quality vs qunatity phrase doesnt work since A-AA games are quality titles...

AAA. I buy like 6 games a year anyway.

This thread seems oddly familiar from something actic edge posted a few months ago...I believe it was him anyways.

In any case I generally only play a few games a yer anyways. No way could I get throiugh all 20 titles. 5 AAA's for me. Doesn't matter if they're exclusives though, Just AAA titles.

Ask me that question at the start of the gen, and I would say 10-20etcetc

Now, I'll take the AAA. I see it being maybe 3AAA/2AA titles for the year. Im an exception with being able to play a game over and over. No skin of mine.

Sure it does, the quality of a AAA game is greater than that of AA game or below.

Quality vs. quantity can work in lots of cases. It just depends on your value of ranked games. Obviously mine is different from yours.

yes the quality of AAA games are higher then the quality of AA games but i dont see how quality over quantity works when they are both granted the agenda of quality titles respectively. it would of been different if you said you like the highest quality titles compared to the others, but thats not the case.

I don't usually by more than 5 games a year (if you don't include steam specials), to expensive.

AAA as I only buy around 5 disc based games a year.

I don't play scores so it depends on the games.

10~20 A-AA games since most of the time I enjoy the game which gets an A-AA on GSmore than the ones which gets AAA.

I would rather have five or so AAA games a year. I can't keep up with all these great games as is so why not lower the quantity and increase the quality?

Depends on the games. I would take 5 AAA games I want over 10-20 AA games I have no interest in whatsoever, or 10-20 AA games I want over 5 AAA games I have no interest in whatsoever.

It depends on what the games included. I am not so narrow minded to let a .5 or 1 point difference review score influence what games I want to play

Lost odyssey and braid are the perfect examples of a great game and an overhyped piece of....(in my honest opinion...)

Quality over quantity, ANYDAY. It's the classics that remind me to keep my system. The really really good games never get bad.

The AAA games, there isn't enough time to play all the pretty good games out there so I try to prioritize those games considered critically to be "must-plays".

Sometimes some of the best games slip through the review radars, though. For example, Wave Race Blue STorm is one of the best games on the gamecube. While that generation was current, it wasn't recieved that well.
