Would you rather have Red Dead Redemption 2 or Grand Theft Auto 5?

We all know both of these games will come out eventually, it's inevitable. But which would you rather have more? Red Dead Redemption 2 or Grand Theft Auto 5?

I think I'd rather have Red Dead Redemption 2, I'm tired of the Grand Theft Auto 5 formula, they need to make some drastic changes to that series to keep me interested. The story in Red Dead Redemption was light years better than Grand Theft Auto 4. On the other hand RDR2 would sound incredible. I could only imagine a much improved narrative, huge expanded lands, and tons of new things to do in the Wild Wild West, or perhaps following up with the Industrial Revolution?

I am much more excited for what Rockstar will do with the Red Dead franchise.

Honestly, Neither. I have both of them and I cant play them because I get bored SO FAST. I want another Vice City or San Andreas. Those were really fun

Easily GTA5,RDR was a bit meh tbh,but that´s just me.

RDR was amazing... so I'll go with that. Haven't really played nuch GTA yet so we'll see. Although I'm sure both games will come out sometime.

I think the american revolution would be an awesome setting! You could complete quests for either the british, american settlers or native americans! It could even have multiple endings. Join with the native americans and kick out the settlers and british, join the british and stop the revolution ect...

I'd rather have a different era/setting. Pirates or samurai or African expeditions. Maybe even a sci-fi setting. So many things Rockstar can tackle with the GTA/RDR formula, why limit it to just those franchises?

Honestly, as much as I love Red Dead Redemption, I don't really find myself clamoring for a sequel, not yet anyway. Maybe next gen when you can really push making the world more immersing.

GTA 5 I'm not really interested in until next generation, either. Maybe not at all. GTAIV really burned me out.

If GTA V is like GTA IV then HELL NO. GTAIV was an abomination, if it is more akin to San Andreas then sure I'll get it on day one.

As for Red Dead. I definitely want another game but it's not going to be easy to top RDR. What year are they going to take it?

now don't chew me out, but i wanna know, what was it about GTA 4 that a lot of you guys hated about the older PS2 era GTA games.

personally i felt like it simply didn't have the 'spark' as it were.

GTA V, because there's way more fun to be had with a car than a horse.

RDR if it was still set in the wild west.

I have to go with another GTA. As fun as RDR was, it was more repetitive since its hard to add variety when you are constrained by the lack of cool tech and vehicles and buildings in a wild west setting to wreak havoc, while at the same time a lot of the improvements could easily carry onto a new GTA. Plus, RDR took place towards the end of the west so I can only see it going one of two ways.

Either they do a prequel and give us more wild west with less modern towns and semi auto M1911's, or SPOILERS

SPOILERS they do a sequel that takes place in like, the Great Depression or Prohibition era Chicago or some crud in the 1920's or 30's as Jack

With a new GTA, you get more variety in settings to choose from, a larger array of weapons and gear, and more along those lines. I'd like to think the next GTA takes a page from Saints Row to mix in a little more absurdity, but hopefully not so much it detracts from the amazing story and characters. Plus technically Saints Row sort of just took the crazy from San Andreas and notched it up, so they'd just be taking a page from early games a bit more in that sense.

GTA 4 was the worst GTA I played.

So I would go with RDR2

Though I rather they go with a new setting to keep it fresh. Maybe a futuristic setting, like some thing similar to Deus Ex HR.

I think a san andreas sequel with the same quality put into the entire map as GTA IV's liberty city had is impossible.

RDR2. After recently going through The Ballad of Gay Tony, I realise I'm pretty much tired of GTA. Still got to go through The Lost and Damned though.
