I think the black 360 is gonna be given away as part of the subscription to IPTV. Thats what I think, I have heard rumblings, yeah it will stink for those who have a watered down 360, but our watered down 360 is still a steal at 400 dollars.

Why do we need one black when we can just add faceplates and shells?
buy a new console? or save £300 and  paint the faceplate black, i know what id do, problem solved, i dont even need a htmi port im to poor to own a gucci HDTV anyway

yes and especially if it had an hdmi for better sound, since I think Sony has a big advantage over the 360 with the sound scheme.
My 360 is connected to my 6.1 Dolby Digital receiver through the optical cable, so i can't have a better sound than i already have. Now if you use the HDTV sound, than yes, i would be better.

My warranty lets me trade in my current 360 for a newer version. Like right now, I can go over to Future Shop with my 360 and warranty, and trade it in for the new 360 with the quiet disc drive. So yeah I would if they had it.
