Would you say that PSN has surpassed XBLA?

I'm not talking PSN+ vs XBLG here...

I'm talking about the game stores.

The PS3 has some high profile exclusives now, starting with Super Stardust HD and ending with recent titles like the Pixeljunk games, Crash Commando, Fat Princess and Trine (Console exclusive.)

The 360 still has some great exclusive offers though, like Shadow Complex, but would you say that the PSN is no longer a second fiddle but rather a rival for first chair?

XBLA still has the larger, better selection of games. PSN still have a long ways to go.

It'll always be second fiddle while it doesn't offer demos.

Nope.

PSN needs a LOT more content still in order to match what XBLA has to offer.

are you serious TC? XBLA offers demos for EVERY single arcade and indie game...Also here are the review scores for both:

XBLA:

AAA:13 AA: 55 A: 83

PSN:

AAA: 3 AA: 21 A: 32

Now tell me whats better?

LOL, you're kidding right?PSN is OK for being free, I buy all of my PSone and PSP titles through there, but let's get real, XBLA blows away every aspect of PSN without question. I don't even use my PS3 to play online games cause it's so bad. FFXIII on the PS3 // MW2 on the 360 :-)

I love when 360 fanboys make PSN seem like garbage. XBL is slightly faster because of the PS3's install after download and has a couple more features in CGC and Party System but that's it.

Until Sony starts charging for PSN, they will always lag behind. Nothing is free in life. Now, granted, everyone is already paying for their connection to the internet via their ISP provider. But the Live and PSN services are not manufactured from thin air. Content doesn't get added to the services magically.

Taking any emotion out of it. I don't understand how Sony stays afloat in the gaming market (I've read though they are still in the red overall in their gaming section). Their business model doesn't really make sense to me. First, they are now getting close to making a profit on each PS3 sold (I've read conflicting articles that say the are earning money now, then others where they say they are still losing money on each PS3 sold). And they posted an earnings loss in their gaming (networked prodcuts and services) division for the 2009 fiscal year. So I ask, how do they expect to improve PSN with negative cashflow. If I were a PS3 owner, I would be asking for a subscription service, to get me more content. When I see Xbox Live churn out $1.2 Billion in a year, sure I won't see a dime of that as a 360 owner, but as an investor in MS I will. Now I'm not saying Sony needs to charge $50 per year for a subscription, but geez, have some common sense. Charge people for what it costs you to keep it operating. And hell, if you make a profit, put it toward improvements that PS3 Owners want, like cross game chat.

I just think Sony is being ignorant about not charging users for services. None of us work for free (unless you're a volunteer), so I wouldn't expect Sony's employees managing and keeping PSN operating to work for free. Sony needs an injection of profit from somewhere, and PSN is just sitting there to bring in profit.

LIVE - tons of content, 10% of which is really great. PSN - more limited amount of content, 10% of which is also really great.

If you compare the two systems simply by saying that you are limited to what you can download through there services, its not even close. 360 kills PS3.

Why is there 29% of the vote in favour of PSN, but no one in here explaining their choice, as others have?
