Would You Trade Your X-One or PS4 for the Ninty NX ?

Provided the New Nintendo NX met or exceeded hardware specs of PS4 or X-One and had full 3rd party support, who here would trade up their precious PS4 or X-One for Nintendo's latest offering?

I just might if it included all of the above and it's proven 1st party greats.

I'd gladly have a Nintendo console alongside my Xbox One but I'd never trade it in for PS4.

@Slimmin360: Given that, then I dunno. Historically, then no. The NX would have to sell me a lot in order to get me to give up either my Xbone or PS4.

Only if there is a deal - which, knowing Nintendo there won't be. But I would consider it going forward. I wouldn't trade considering how low the normal trade in values are, BUT... the promos they were having earlier this year were pretty sweet.

I had never traded a console before, but not long ago several retailers were offering $175 towards PS4 for either a 360 or a PS3 - I traded in my old 250GB 360 to Amazon, and it was even better than $175, it ended up being like $182 towards the PS4. Considering I"m done with the 360, I couldn't pass that up. I actually wish I had also traded my spare PS3 for the Xbox One using a similar deal, it seems like now the best i could get for it is like $100.

If i wasnt happy with it and NX offered more, i see no reason to keep them. Would cash in at a good price and think about buying one for cheap at the end of the consoles life to play a few of their classics.

I have a job so I don't need to trade in consoles. I will just buy the NX in addition to my Xbox One and PS4.

Now hypothetically if for some reason I could only get a NX if I traded in either my PS4 or Xbox One, I would definitely trade in the PS4 for the NX. Nintendo's exclusives are better than Sony's.

Depends what first party games were available. WiiU has had a bad run in my opinion. No proper 3d Mario, no metroid, no animal crossing (I'm not counting that awful board game) and as of yet no new Zelda game.

If its significantly more powerful and supports more than 2 third party games per year, yes.

There would need to be multiple, drastic changes in the way Nintendo conducts business for that to ever happen.

I already have a Wii U and the NX launch killer app is probably gonna be LoZ, so I won't really be trading anything in for an NX in a while. 2016 is the year I get a PS4 for sure, I'll be focusing the time I'm not playing my Xbox One on playing the PS4. We'll see if it really does bring the 3rd party games, or if they'll just get ports of the same games I can play on the other systems. I mean, remember FFVII might come to NX but what's that matter, first on PS4, probably coming to XBO too. Hopefully there's more to offer like Pikmin 4 but I mean Nintendo is going to need more, my worry all that power is going to go to waste.

lol hell no, maybe if I had an xbone but even that has a few titles worth keeping. Now if this thread was referring to Wii U, the answers would likely be 100% yes.

You got to understand it's got nothing to do with hardware, people buy consoles for the exclusives they offer or brand loyalty, if I cared about hardware and performance I'd build a gaming rig

I would need to see the third party support first to make a decision. Wii U promised it and didn't exactly deliver on that front. But if they did than I would just buy it. No trading in cause I know I would be ripped off if I did.

If it had full 3rd party support there wouldn't be a reason to own another console, but I'd probably still keep my PS4 anywho.

I have PC, PS4 and Xbox One and still haven't got rid of 360 and PS3 'just in case' even though I haven't touched them in forever.

If NX isn't cheap ass overpriced dogshit (and given we're talking Nintendo here there's every chance it will be) I will just go ahead and buy it but ONLY if they have exclusives outside of the usual Mario nonsense.
