if mw2 on PS3 and 360 could connnect online. Thats one large community. 8)

I've been saying this. Cross platform connectivity doubles your online community and games that focuses on multiplayer lasts a lot longer.

in my experience 360 gamers are better than PS3 gamers so it would be unfair really.

The only reason the Xbox Live community is more vocal is because Microsoft had the sense to put a headset in the box when making a console that is focused on online and community play. What is Sony's excuse?

in my experience 360 gamers are better than PS3 gamers so it would be unfair really.

Anyway back on topic that would be a great idea. . .listening to all the fanboys slag each other off :D seriously though it would help alot of smaller, less advertised or not so well known online only franchises have a larger and longer lasting community.

I don't know, I think the head set can be a bit of a double edged sword. Great with friends, but with people I don't know, there has just been more negative than positive. It puts me off playing online actually.

On topic, I don't think cross platform play is needed on COD.

I don't know, I think the head set can be a bit of a double edged sword. Great with freinds, but with people I don't know, there has just been more negative than positive. It puts me off playing online actually.

It sure would. Only people who are really bad at games play on the PS3. Skill level is definitely a deciding factor between the PS3 and 360.

i dont see too many ps3 games being used at major league gaming...even when they are multiplat...specially in FPS games *not sports games* and lets forget the fact 360 sponsors mlg lets look outside MLG to lower ranked circuits and such...even then the platform of choice? 360.

Cross platform online would be a serious disaster. You would get arguments,swearing and fanboyism.

I don't want Xbox fanboys on my ps3.

lol I thought I did that. On 'friends only', does it mean I can't hear anyone else either?

Also I still want to be able to send a text message to people who aren't on my friends list. Can I do this? The description is very brief.

So 360 sponsors MLG, and it's surprising that that is MLG's main platform?

Just because there aren't as many "pro" gamers in MLG (which is a joke if you ask me) does not mean that one system indefinitely has a better user base. I had played CoD4 on both 360 and PS3. There were the exact same type of players:

1) People who mindlessly run around and get a handful of kills a match

2) Players who knew what they were doing but would make poor decisions at times and end up with around the same amount of kills as deaths. Sometimes have an outbreak game once in a while, and

3) You're "pro" level gamers who dominate the match.

The communities are no different whatsoever. Saying otherwise is a huge generalization.
