I understand that you Nintendo fans will love whatever Nintendo cooks up! I used too be a fanboy until the Wii came out and I was curious to ask Wouldn't you have liked Nintendo to make a console with regular controls and next-gen graphics? Wouldn't you have liked to see Zelda in Next-gen glory? I am not saying it would be a smarter decision because it seems people like the wii seeing the sales, but  wouldn't you of liked a truly nextgen console?

I like playing fun games. I like how good Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 4 and Killer 7 look. Why do I need HD on a console when I play consoles for fun?

I want new and exciting expreiences... not just graphical upgrades to last-gen gameplay.

No, because then the console race would boil down to which console is cheaper because they would look the same and most of the games would be multiplats.

No, I would have liked a console with Wii controls and next gen graphics. But they didn't. Deal with it, the rest of us have.

Nope. I love the Wiimote, both for it's potential and how it makes games better when used properly. And as a college student price is very important to me. Odds are if they went the PS360 route and loaded their console with hardware, I wouldn't have one yet.

graphics would have been nice, but I believe that the new controls are an adequate concillation. And its not necessarily a restriction- i think that ssbb is using the classic controller (you can correct me if I'm wrong)

No because I play games for the "Game"play not the graphics. When a games pretty its great but I could care less when games get to the photorealistic level cause what are you gonna do when graphics look as good as they can look? Make them look better then real life?

I like the idea of the Wiimote, but I think Nintendo should have made the Wii more powerful than essentially the original Xbox. Nothing crazy like putting a Cell but maybe a 1ghz processor and a 128mb graphics card (going by the numbers that the Wii is essentially slightly more powerful than the original xbox). I think that this may bite Nintendo a couple of years down the road when the 360 and PS3 games look absolutely incredible and all the Wii can do is slightly better than Zelda: TP.

Nintendo could've done both the motion thing and the higher end graphics... but the $400+ pricetag is not what Nintendo wants its consumers to pay. I'm happy with the Wii, though.

I would have liked to see all the Nintendo franchises with awesome graphics, but I'm happy someone made something different. The Wii selling well might mean very big things for the business. Not just for motion sensing, but it could push companies to start being more innovative and take risks with hardware in ways that aren't even though of. So, I'm happy they did what they did.

No way. The wiimote can do everything a standard controller can, so returning it to the normal pad would just be a step backwards. Better graphics would had been nice, but oh well, they're acceptable. I didn't want to spend $400 on a wii anyways. Besides, what would I do with two xbox360s? I mean that's all a wii with a standard controller and HD would be.

I buy game consoles to play games. The Wii provides a new and exciting way to play games. Good graphics are nice, but I would gladly take motion sensing instead.

If the wii was using the Regular controller. I would have buyed an Xbox instead because in my opinion I am tired of the same controller over and over again I want to play games different. And I know there are some people out there that say the samething as me. and some want to play games different.

I'd like a Nintendo system with an online system that doesn't make me want to jump off a building.

It's "next-gen" enough for me.  Sides, there's nothing stopping you from inserting a "normal" controller.

When it comes to the graphics thing, I reserve my judgement on the Wii's hardware capabilities untill I actually see GC level graphics.

Sure, more powerful console, but keep the wiimote would have been great. Although Nintendo wouldn't have been as successful and just lesve off where the gamecube left off and maybe just get worst, so this is for the better.

It's like pulling teeth to get honesty around here.  You'd be hard pressed to have any Nintendo fan (including myself) say that "no...I don't want next-gen graphics" if they had the option of magically upgrading the Wii hardware.  Hypothetically:  HELL YES, I would like to see Nintendo games on Xbox 360-like hardware.

Do I think it would have been the "right" business move for Nintendo?  Hard to say "yes" in the face of its current momentum.

1. No, Nintendo has never kept the same controlls from system to system, but they always seem to improveon it. This time, they must have thought there was nowhere to go but Wii. 2. It is next-gen. graphics you fanboy.
