Just finished watchin CASINO ROYAL blu ray in the ps3, and wow!!! the colors are amazing with more realism, iS just beautifull, u can do anything in the ps3. it an amazing machine, despite its price, for only $200 u get more tahn xbox360

so it is not about tthe games anymore. I guess you are right though. PS3 is an awesome system if you want to surf the web, make a nice picture slide, and watch blu -ray movies. However, when it comes to gaming it doesn't actually deliver.

Trolls are funny, I hope this thread gets huge.

Bluray compatability, as much heat as its getting, I think is great to have in the system. I think yes, if it were optional it would have been better, but I also think it would have been alot more expensive. I seem to recall Ken (or some Sony guy) saying the PS3 would be a complete all around media centre, and so far it looks to be doing a great job of that. Doesn't appear to have alot of great games yet, but over time I think the P3 owners will get happier with their investment. I myself am going to wait for awhile though, and pray for a price drop, however small.

No blu-ray player is a budge blu-ray player right now. They're all dramatically over priced still, $500-600 just SOUNDS reasonable because $1000 for a standalone player is INSANE.
