You do raids buddy? Yeah, you do have a lot of damn time on your hands. How do you know if:
A. I raid
B. I have a lot of time on my hands
Why did you:
A. Use the frankly unnecessary word "damn" in that sentence to emphasise it
B. Answer your own question in your second sentence.
wow is a fun game but like any game there are people who play it too much, it is these people that form the basis of the stereotypes of people who play wow.
honestly i played it for about a bit over two months, had my fun and just left it, i didn't need to go to therapy or anything to quit i just didn't play it anymore. it is just a game in the end.

Well for one: a) You raid because with an avatar and a sig like that, there's not much room left for the imagination. Oh, and Evercrackers. LOTROers, and Guild Warers constantly get slack from WoW fanbois. A big argument that comes up is about end-game. 8 hour freakin' raids or whatever you guys do. b) You play WoW. You do have a lot of time on your hands. I really do not need to explain this one, you and I both well know what WoW does to people. Oh, and studies show that MMO players spend more time on their games than other gamers. Go look it up at mmorpg.com. a1) I used "damn" to emotionally strike a nerve. Looks like I did. b2) Because I have a crystal ball. Here, you want it?[QUOTE="-Unreal-"][QUOTE="FrozenLiquid"][QUOTE="-Unreal-"][QUOTE="TheJuiceyBar"]Damn thats a lot of people with no lives.FrozenLiquid

So youre saying that working people with families and kids that play toghether as a family have no lives?True_Gamer_Actually, yeah. I was disgusted by the people on the MMO I played who got their kids in front of the television whilst both of them were playing the game with me. I didn't know the TV was the new aged babysitter.

I meant KIDS PLAYING TOGHETHER with their parents...and I know quite alot families that do this and NO they dont spend that much time on the game as does the 15% of the total...

Yeah I know that too. I mean, there was one Korean MMO I was in (very unique and offbeat), where the mother and son played together. Mother found an online guy half her age and started "cheating" with her husband, and the child was sexually harassing all the other females in the game. The mother just said it was a sign of affection. That's called playing together. Or, you could just go kick a ball outside with your children. I'm teaching my brother how to juggle at the age of four. Didn't the health organizations the world over say 30 minutes a day? Well, there's 30 minutes of physical activity to be done with your kids right?[QUOTE="True_Gamer_"]Actually, yeah. Does it matter? It's still an MMO, and people are still playing it. And yes, I'm sure these famlies are playing 1.5-2 hours max, when I unfortunately followed most of them around for four-five hour marathons. The adults, anyway. Seriously, sometimes I don't think you even play the games you talk about.[QUOTE="True_Gamer_"][QUOTE="FrozenLiquid"][QUOTE="True_Gamer_"]Actually, yeah. Guild Wars is still 10x better.
WoW is fun and large as hell, but Guild Wars requires strategy. WoW requires gear and grinding.
So you make up statistics while I state my personal experience...plus you overgenralise and provide extreme examples as a way to support your weak "arguments"....True_Gamer_No, I'm stating personal experience, and you're stating statistics. And if I'm overgeneralizing.....what are you doing? -ponders-

Don't worry, I agree with you totally. World of Warcraft has too much micromanagement and it's too big of a drain on your social life, even for an MMO.
If you don't want to fail High School, don't play WoW.

No offense but does any one else think this screams hypocrite? He is in a forum argueing about video games.. while calling some one else has too much time on their hands and no life, in a video game forum...
Sad. Now Blizzard really doesn't have any incentive to branch out anymore. Acompany that is effectively 'killing' itself with its own success...it's almost poetic.Verge_6
I don't think this is very fair observation when Starcraft 2 is slated for 2008-2009..

Thats complete speculation there is no proof what so ever that they would be doing that.. Specially when they can make quite a few expansisons for WoW.
