Activision merging with (being bought out by) Vivendi... you know those guys.... the ones that own Blizzard. Of course to save face they are saying that it's a merger rather than a buyout.... but whatever.

they weren't bought out. Part of the merger was Vivendi buying 52% shares in the new company. while Vivendi bought majority shares they did not buy out Activision they bought out the new Activision Blizzard so to speak.Zero5000X
