No, it's not I would LOVE it to die though so I can have my WC4 :(Giancar
:( Agreed, WC4 is my most wanted announce.
no other company has enough money, time and talent to create a better mmo, I thought Square-enix might have the cash and talent to be able to do it with final fantasy xiv but that turned out the worst.Totalgym9000i think SW:TOR has a change. but if that does not manage it nothing will
It's not dying, but it really should be. That game is just not healthy for people, socially and physically.ice144
Blame the people, not the game.

Sure, for games like COD or Halo where there isn't much evidence of people becoming addicted. Sorry, but WoW is a completely different story from your normal game, you can blame it freely. You can't look at me with a straight face and say that people aren't addicted to that game. I'll say that 90 percent of raiders and 70 percent of normal players are addicted, and because of it they are starting to suffer in terms of their health and social skills. I'm so glad i stopped at WOTLK, that game was not worth all the consequences of playing it.[QUOTE="Crazyguy105"][QUOTE="ice144"]It's not dying, but it really should be. I'll give you the link if I can find one.
EDIT: Here is it for ya. =)

I just don't understand the logic behind blaming games. Who the heck asked anyone to even try it out in the first place. I smoke, now who do I blame for that? Pall Mall? jeez...
Yeahhh in addition to several hundred quality games? :PThat's the thing. MMO and facebook games are the only thing that PC has to call its own.

Sure it's their fault that they played the game in the first place, but just like most addictive things, people assume that what they see happen to other people won't happen to them. If those same people who are addicted to WoW played another genre(or even just guild wars), their would not be anywhere as many that are addicted, which is why one can blame WoW directly for causing the addiction.Haven't you heard? WoW's been dying for like five years now. That's gotta be one excrutiatingly slow death.
Uhhhh... Definitely not.
3.3 million is a lot for one day, and not everyone buys the expansion, as in if you don't, the game experienced major changes reguardless of purchase.
And even for me, I haven't bought it yet, becuase I got a new account. I still need to buy WoTLK for it, and I will buy it this weekend.
a lot of people's sarcasm meters are broke today
I bought the expansion yesterday, downloading everything today, and will play after my finals woot.
80-85 in a week hopefully, form waht I heard it's really easy to level
[QUOTE="ice144"]Blame the game, not the player...JynxzorI could really get into this...but are you REALLY trying to blame WoW for "Addicting" people? I mean really? I guess everyone needs something to blame and not the actual person, because humans can do no wrong!
Haha its the mcDonalds lawsuits all over again...oh boy here we go :P. I hate the mentality that its not the persons fault. You only have yourself to blame.

My prediction - SW:TOR will be a well-received MMO,but it's fanbase will consist of mostly just Star Wars and Bioware Fanboys....it wont draw in (or steal) the massive crowds of Casual Gamers that Blizzard has for Warcraft.
It will be far from a WoW killer.
i feel sorry for 3.3 million people... wow is such a waste of timebabybinky
Yup...because a gaming forum that consists of people arguing over lame trivial **** like "how many more polygons/textures a certain game has over another" .....is somehow less pathetic and a better way to kill time right?

You're telling me the people I encounter while playing Call of Duty and Halo are not hurting their social skills and health? I don't buy that one second. I've met far better people playing WoW for the short time I have. That's the thing. MMO and facebook games are the only thing that PC has to call its own.

What on Earth? Does any system have anything to call it's own? Especially in terms of genres (they've pretty much all been addressed at one point or another).
If you wanna get in depth, PC also has a plethora of sims, adventure games, RTS, whereas the consoles are fairly limited in that regard.
[QUOTE="Giancar"]No, it's not I would LOVE it to die though so I can have my WC4 :(madsnakehhh
:( Agreed, WC4 is my most wanted announce.
The second WC IV is released, I will retreat into my man cave and never return, the only sound emerging from my man cave would be the sounds of many dying night elves.WoW does create an addiction, but its not a bad one.
Of all my friends, my two WoW buddies who are not in trouble in their lives because they don't care to drink/get pregnant/drive drunk/do drugs
If the alternative is "being social" ala drinking ... hook me into WoW.
Its gotten to the point that I thank God for WoW because it keeps me out of a lot of trouble.
Which leads me to another topic ... the USA is the new Rome!

So long.... i doubt they would opt to release WC 4 instead of a new WoW expansion. honestly, in 4 years I think we would see maybe two more expansions, I would be absolutely SICK of warcraft by then. i'd rather they just move on to a new franchise etc. It's not dying, but it really should be. That game is just not healthy for people, socially and physically.ice144I agree with this, people claim that you can play it casualy........sure if you have fun just leveling and dealing with one fail pug after the other. Otherwise it takes to much time to be healthy
I hope a better mmo comes out that rewards more on skill instead of just how much time you put into it.May it be relevant till the better MMOs that are DC universe and SW The Old Republic come out in 2011.
