Wow my 360 just broke.......

Long story short, my 360 always been a little iffy and today it couldn't really stand it anymore. It won't turn on, and the disc opener is jammed.

Can someone please tell me are the newer models more dependable?

Meh, I have a job. Im getting another laptop for xmas....I was thinking about making it a gaming laptop type thingy. Then I thought why bother....what is there to play that I cant play on my PS3 or 360. Plus going from playing Games on a 40 and 51 inch HDTV's to playing on a computer screen isnt something I want to do.

Ahh, okay. Pardon my ignorance but my head is in a hole when it comes to PC gaming. I have no Idea what any of those games are. I am interested in learning pc gaming...because Im sure they have good games. Like I stated, most of my lack of playing or building a gaming pc comes from Ignorance about it. Plus Im totally satisfied with my consoles that I have now.

Whoa.....that was tight. Hellgate London looked the best. Sheesh, I guess I can hook up the laptop Im getting so I can at least fool around with it while Im at work instead of posting in threads all workday. Man, now Im interested in that story for Hellgate. Good stuff bruh.

The disc tray jammed on my 360. I couldn't claim it back through the warranty, however this was partially resulting from the fact I'd tried to open it with a bread knife after a couple of beers one night and the whole door came out of the machine, shortly followed by a couple of broken cogs.

Ah well.

Yeah, I'm afraid that it might be more than 33% of the earlier models, it just takes more time for some to develop it than others. If they accessed how many got RROD from the first few models, I wonder what the percentage would be. Mines an older model (the one w/out HDMI):cry:

My 360 has failed on my 3 times and you do have to be careful...but after the 3rd time I got a PS3 and no problems. IMO...if your playing a alot....often, the disc drive will fail. Period. One of my friends joked about my 360 breaking, but I told him..."yours just doesnt break because you dont play it enuff"...he laughed. Then he purchased Fallout 3, Fable 2, COD WAW, AND Mirrors Edge....he was on around the clock. Then he hit me with a message telling me "aww man, my 360 went dead". I hit him with the "told you so". Just ease the work load, get a wii or something. The 360 is just NOT a work horse type console. Trust me.
