How in the Freaking hell you guys don't even bother to charge up your DS4 when you put it on Stand-by mode at all? It's not that hard to keep the damn controller charge if you leave your PS4 on stand-by mode and I always leave my system on stand-by anyways.
You can leave it charging in standby, and get annoyed when it discharges after about 3 hours?
On a rare cases and depending on the game, I have never run out of power beyond maybe 4 hours of game time and this is also me turning off the lightbars (Dim I think) and when I'm ready to take a break, I just plug my charger in and that's it. It's not that hard to do and let's ask ourselves this, do you really need to game more then 4 hours at all? You gotta give your body a rest man, don't over do it and 3/4 hours is basically the limits for me but I basically game more then 2 hours at least.
My light bar is already at dim.
For longer play sessions, such as with RPGs like Persona, or on weekend evenings, or during parties, you absolutely run into the potential of the batteries dying out during a game session. The only reason it didn't drive me crazy in Persona 5 was because I kept cycling both my controllers.
When the Xbox controller gives you 30 hours of battery, the Switch controllers go to 40 hours, and Wii U Pro gives you 80 hours, there's no reason to be accepting poor battery life on the DualShock 4, or to be making excuses for it.
