I golf and snowboard.  Good golf clubs and a good snowboard cost more then a new console and they are replaced more frequent, then greens fees, lift tickets, memberships and season passes are spendy as well.  Luckily my hobby of poker is profitable.

it has to do with inflation, however at this moment the cost of developing a game is quite expensive especially for the PS3 since its more complicated to develope games for it than the x360. but games should get cheaper in 2 years and not really remain at 70$ since developers have a more cost-effective technique to make games.

I don't think it has too much to do with inflation. Wii games are still cheap because they're last gen tech. Games for current gen systems like the 360 and PS3 cost about $10-$20 more than last gen games. PikaPichu

But inflation IS extremely important. If we had a 3% inflation, $60 today would be worth $70 in five years.

The Wii is cheaper because it's comparably cheaper to develop for.
