On the xbox, NG and NGB sold about 1.5M together. So far, NGS has sold over 500k on PS3. By the end of this gen, it might have outsold the originals, who knows?
It is an AAA title that was already annoucned for 2008. They jsut showed gameplay videos, and that was about all that was shown at this show. No matter what fanboys state, a show can be lame when there is only one game being shown, that was already expected. It was comparable to e3 07 for microsoft, when they showed halo 3 campaign, and that was about it.
if NG2 was announced PS3 exclusive lemmings would do the same

I'm a fan of the series, i love the fact its coming out officially now. I wouldn't have cared if it was multiplatform cause i own them all but demo is right, if it was ps3 exclusive the same thing would happen but in reverse :D

If there is 1 thing relating to sales that annoys me more than anything.. its people who think NGS sold 500k.
It did not show up in July NPD top 20.. games that sell 500k.. tend to show up in the top 20.
It sold poorly in Japan (according to Famitsu).
And according to the not overly accurate vgcharts.. it hasn't been selling through August either.

So I guess you don't realize that the 360 has sold something like 23 games that have each sold over 1 million or close to it? Yes he really hates money to put in on a console that puts out a million seller on average of per month since console has been out, LOL!! :lol:
NGS by the way will be all but forgotten about by the end of this year. It has pretty much fell off the charts now. What makes you think it will sell another million plus?

Itagaki stated that developers should develop good games, not just games for the money...so while he doesn't hate money its not his main motivation for creating games

I said it would probably be niche. I never said it would be sloppy (maybe you're referring to someone else).
NG for Xbox was niche, and NG:S for PS3 was niche. That's not a crack at the game--most games don't appeal to the mass market. This is a gift from Microsoft and Team Ninja to the hardcore 360 userbase, and that's the way I personally prefer it.

Sony is one of the biggest companies in the world. It is the 3rd biggest copmany in japan, and top 100 in the world. Microsoft is also top 100 in the world. They both have billions of $'s at their dispossal and could buy out any of these exclusive rights.

It's also funny how NGS was "been there, done that", and now that NG2 is an exclusive it's the greatest game in the history of gaming.
NGS WAS 'Been there, done that', it was a port of a game, not a brand new game with new levels etc like NG2 :|

Exactly. NG2 = totally new game. NGS = NG/NGB combined, with a few new levels and extra playable character, with updated graphics.
