Although, I agree with you, I'm not interested in playing a Ninja Gaiden game on the DS.TrueReligion_Really? it looks like a lot of fun to me, I can't wait to try it out for myself. To each there own I guess.
Touch screen, useless. Second screen, replacable with select.NobuoMusicMaker
 What?! Why should I have to stop my game evertime I want to look at my freaking map? And how is a D-pad and four buttons going to cover all those touch controls without giving up one bit of accuracy?Â

The touch screen is hardly useless. One could argue that a traditional controller would be just as good or maye even more effective, but there is no denying that the controls are intriguing and very well could be orginal and fun, perhaps even more fun then a traditional controller. Point is, it's a new interface to control Ryu and that is a breath of fresh air in itself.
After watching the video, i do not know how anyone, excluding the most bias of bias and even then, could not be intrigued. ANother reason why the DS is such a magnificient gaming system, and my favourite since the SNES.

Ehh? How exactly is the touch screen useless? It gives a far greater degree of control than what's achievable with just the DS's (or PSP's for that matter) buttons. This title was always intended to be a handheld title which is why Itagaki choose the DS. Anyway Here's a quote from Itagaki himself
"Let me tell you something that will surprise you. The Ryu Hayabusa present in Ninja Gaiden DS is the speediest of all the Ninja Gaiden games in existence. And when I say "in existence," go ahead and assume I also mean projects currently in development. When I say "speedy," I don't just mean fast in a cheaply implemented way. Anyone can simply speed up the animations. This is speed as it pertains to those elements that are so dear to me -- interactivity and responsiveness. I don't know how many times you would want to scratch across the screen of the DS in the space of a second, but rest assured that Hayabusa will constantly and flawlessly keep up with your every input. That's the kind of game it is."
The touch screen doesn't seem so useless to me. edit: heres a link to the quote http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?pager.offset=1&cId=3158404Wow, a game that swiping with the stylus makes your sword slash. It was so obvious, why hadn't anyone done it? I'm now hyping this AAA. I would've liked it better if they allowed an option to move with he D-Pad, but it is still in beta, so whatever. And GoW CoO coming just in time, too. Finally, handhelds are getting the kind of games they deserve.kiruyamaReally? I would have thought 360 degrees of movement > 8 degrees of movement. Must be just me then.
