Wow !!!owning all 3 consoles shows me how closeminded fanboys are.

I finally got my ps3 today. I got the 60 gig off craigs list with hdmi cables and 2 games, resistance and sigma for 525.00. I have always owned all the consoles every gen but this time was harder on my wallet. I never really wanted the ps3 untill, I was so sick of my wii60 I couldnt stand it anymore. The ps3 bashing needs to stop this is a great machine have you fanboys ever played one? The menu is set up really well and the games look way more crisp and clear then any 360 game. I have gears the graphics are good but its not near as crisp as ps3 games. Also the wii is a secondary console thats not such a bad thing. I had a great time with re4wii. Sorry not everyone can afford all three sytems but if everyone could there would be no fanboys. All three systems have there good points. ARe there fanboys because its fun to bash, or do you really care about what brand it is?supermanfarr

In my opinion I think owning just one wouldn't be that satisfying, owning two is the sweet spot, and I think people could get by without owning all three.

Yeah life is better when you are open-minded. People will all three consoles always win. There is so much enjoyment to be had by games of all systems and by cutting yourself out of a purchase of a great console by being stubborn and ignorant does nothing but shortchange you, even if you have convinced yourself that you are better for it. It is a shame really. Fanboys don't really know what they are missing. I don't own all three consoles right now, but I will some day because I just don't want to miss out.

Im not rich at all, but I make good money and have no kids. I dont play 24/7 but I dont like to miss out on any great games. I just didnt realize how cool the ps3 was. There is so much bashing I kinda over look it but after e3 things changed. I also sold my nitro truck for 400.00 so that had alot to do with it.supermanfarr

i sold my nitro car a while back, the guy destroyed it in a week. what truck did you have? i was thinking about getting a new Savage, but the non-assembled one, i actually enjoy building them more than racing them.

I mean, yeah, you can prefer one console over another - that is fine. But the people who whine until their faces are blue about which console is better are only trying to defend their meager 1-system purchase. Either enjoy your system, trade it in, or buy and enjoy all of them (true gamers, sign here).

I own a ps3 and xbox 360. I love them both, and own both for the exclusives for each. whenever a multiplat comes out, i buy the better version. I do admit i dislike MS, but when it comes to games, i just buy what pleases my gaming tastes (and right now, MS is doing that more than sony for me. However, I think sony will end up delivering a better experience in the end). No need to bash/hate on something for no reason.

agreed. i was never much for racing, just building and tweaking.

This is about the mostUSEFULL comment i have heard. Do you ever notice that its always the 360 fans that diss the Ps3, not the other way round? The only reson they do this is because there jelous that they cant get a PS3 because it costs too much. I have a PS3 and a Wii which i bought in Australia might i add (at $999 and $400). I dont hate the 360 but i will prolly never get one!

Buy what you want, and if you don't like it, get rid of it and buy something new. Don't hate on the next man because he has something you don't. And if you truly don't like what the next man has (i.e. the "other" system), why waste time bashing it? Go enjoy whatever system(s) you have!

Listen dude, I never said ppl are not allowed to prefer one gaming system over another. My only point is that there is NO point in bashing the opposite console. Enjoy what you have. If you are busy bashing, you are just jealous. Either enjoy what you have, or get something to enjoy. Bashing the opposite accomplishes nothing and just showcases that the person wants something that he/she does not/cannot have. If that person truly enjoyed that which they had, there'd be no need or urge to bash the competition. They'd just have their preference and enjoy it.

It is truly a privilege to for anyone to be able to own all 3. I'm personally Wii-only right now, but I'm hoping beyond hope to get a PS3 sometime this year, that is if I'm able to get a second part-time job and pay my parents back for all the grocery money they've loaned me so I can finally have some spending money every month after rent and bills are taken care of.

I honestly don't see a need to ever own a 360. First there's the reliability issue, and second the fact that the only games that look appealing to me are going to be mutliplats for either PS3 or PC. Upgrading my PC into a good gaming machine, it seems, will be the final and lowest-priority step. Honestly if I can just get the PSWii set-up I should be fine for the rest of this gen.

As for fan-boyism, I'm generally against it for any system; If somebody enjoys their choice of games/hardware then they should simply be left alone and allowed to have fun. I do, however, tend to lash out against the Wii-bashing cows and lemmings, primarily because they're almost always the ones on the offensive, whereas nintendo fans seem to much rather want peace and equality in the gaming world, and are very rarely ever the instigators.

In extreme cases, the macho, "mature" ego-stroking, graphics whoredom and FPS-centricism of the Sony and MS fanboys strikes me as being far too similar to the social elitism, puritanism and nationalism of the Black Metal scene. Now I enjoy a good bit of metal myself, be it black, death, blackened-death, or whatever, but I also listen to just about every other genre of music on the planet. Similarly, I see no reason to limit myself to any single videogame hardware, genre, developer, etc. Sure I have favorites and fairly consistent tastes, but discerning between what one likes and doesn't like should never result in infringing on someone else's preferences.

no, he's more open minded because he bought all 3 consoles. Money has nothing to do with it. I am very open minded and would buy all the consoles if I could but I just don't have enough money. He could just as easily be really rich and still only buy one console. Just look at Chad Warden :lol: although most likely that was his parents' money. Anyway enough about that, how rich you are doesn't affect how open-minded you are, just how well you can act on that open-mindedness.

i own all 3 and i'll keep saying the PS3 sucks until there's a reason for me to buy something to play on it. so far it's all stink.

i'll be the first to praise the PS3 when it actually justifies the cash i spent on it -- so far it hasnt come close.

funny story, tells you how much I love it so far: went to the cottageovera monthand i don't have an insurance policy at the my new place so i decided to take the PS3 and the controllers and leave it in my lazy susan in the kitchen. figured if the place got robbed they wouldn't look there and i could sell the PS3 to help replace the 360/Wii.

Guess where my PS3 still is? Yep. Lazy Susan, next to my cereals and breads. haven't had a reason to take it out of there since i got back - OVER A MONTH AGO.

You're an extremely lucky man. Right now, I'm in no position to afford all three anyway, but even when I am, I have a hard time bringing myself to do it.

I mean, I look at it this way. If I already owned a 360 and a PS3, to buy a Wii would make me unable to play four games ($60x4). Looking at this holiday season, I might not be able to play all the games I'd want. Also, I'm older now and finished with college- I do have other concerns now than games. I just can't justify spending so much on games.

So owning all three is great, but it really cuts into your ability to actually play games without feeling like you're blowing a ton of money on games. Sometimes it's just best to bite your tongue and miss out on one system's exclusives until it's extremely late in the game. A sub-$150 Xbox Premium might see a purchase from me, but any more than that and I'd be missing out on too many games for the systems I actually own.

I have money to buy all three for 10 times

but I bought only PS3

sometimes it's not about how much can you affort, it's about what exactly do you want

X360 and Wii are not valuable to me, even if you try to sell them all together for $50 I will still consider too expensive

vice versa, someone might just feel totally opposite

so, no big deal, just love what you like, and be happy with it
