Why is there all of a sudden so much hate on Killzone 2? Before resistance 2 was announced a lot of ps3 owners were looking forward to this game. Now it seems, almost everybody has abandoned it.

Now, lets go back to E3 07, where Killzone was one of the most talked about games going in. What Guerilla showed us was impressive. the reports on gameplay from jounalists were good, reporting of first-person cover mechanics, interesting ideas on the fact that helghast can harness the energy of their planet to use as weapons, and just an overall, very immersive experience. The graphics were top notch. So what gives?

for a pre-alpha build, id say it was impressive

right now, probably the best thing that killzone 2 has going for it is that we know so little about it. :P

The silence doesn't help. R2 came out of no where with all these features. Killzone 2 has been in development for 2+ years and we still no very little about it. Normally in the world of gaming that's a bad thing.Shazenab

True, Resistance is taking the light away from Killzone, but what im trying to say, is that people have jumped ship from killzone to resistance, and are denying that they ever thought highly of killzone 2. Dont get me wrong, Resistance 2 is going to rock though

I'm still looking forward to KZ2 but am just pissed at Sony being so secretive after showing a mind-blowing trailer at last years E3. I just hope they showcase KZ2 at GDC or elseSwift_Boss_A

GDC is a month away. if we dont see anything there, then i will admit that there is definatly something wrong with the game

My best wishes go out to Guerilla, but cows are really over-estimating what these guys are capable of. I'm not going to put my finger on these guys making the best FPS of our time.

Since when do you base your opinion of a game's textures on gameplay which you saw almost a year before it was released..

Devs. have spoken in the past of how textures are the least of their worries when programming, and they're often the last thing they focus on.. I don't really see how you have any reason to say that the Killzone 2 textures are necessarily going to be bad, from the footage from E3..

ROFL the textures were very impressive, you must have seen a bad quality video.

Ive watched every vid and the game looks awesome.

Only two tibidts i have about the game:

1) bad textures

2) In general the AI is very good, but sometimes the helghast are down right stupid.

Im sure they can improve both by launch

Killzone 2 is being hyped for:

2. A first person cover system

It's being developed by a trash developer, Guerrilla Games who have contributed nothing to the FPS genre.

Killzone 2 does nothing new to set it apart from the flood of FPS games.

I'm all for hyping Resistance 2, but Killzone 2 deserves no praise, nor will it recieve any praise from me. The last thing the industry needs is another generic shooter.

I'm excited for Resistance 2 after reading up on some of the gameplay features, and that game is being made by a respected developer who made a FPS that, even though it was a launch game, managed to get a solid AA score.

Do the right thing people, hype Resistance 2, leave Killzone 2 alone.

It's amazing how much lemmings are downplaying resistance 2. The first game was flawed but very underrated. The new game has TWO distinct Campaigns (with one tailored for co-op play) as well as 60 player online with character classes and gameplay that consist of small 4-8 man teams racing towards objectives. It's also starting to get its own style rather than copying call of duty and half life. The game will own so much

In contrast Killzone 2 is a tech demo for easily impressed simpletons.

1. Maybe because people are hyping a game up and don't even know anything about it.
2. Maybe because people are hyping a game up that there really isn't any info about it.
3. Maybe because people are hyping a game soley based on graphics, $$$, Developers and time. There's a difference between potential and actually seeing and believing.
4. Maybe because people say Halo 3 is overrated and Killzone 2 will be amazing. Basically implies that KZ2 is being hyped AAA.
5. Maybe because whenever someone is asked why they hype killzone the only reasons they can give our graphics, $$$, and time.

I have some issues with Killzone 2

1. They are takeing forever to make it
2. There isin't enough info about it to make me excited other than the graphics.
3. The AI looks stupid.....really!
4. Again.....no info on it, no multiplayer info.

There is very little we know about Killzone 2, there is no demo a few videos but they are still claming that it will look better and to be honest after hearing Resistance 2 it's kind of hard to be excited about Killzone 2.

Those dudes better pull out some kind of magic trick from their @ss.

Killzone 2 got hyped for the huge million dollar budget and cows were saying it had the highest production cost ever,when Too Human cost much more
