wow this is disapointing.

wow this has actually hit a new low. first there was the GTA 4 trailer, which was like a teaser and probably nothing close to what the game will look like, and u get "PS3 is holding GTA 4 back" or "360 is holding GTA 4 back" or my favorite "GTA 4 looks like trash, its not next gen". Since when was GTA about graphics, the graphics in GTA have always been somewhat meh. THe game has always been about game play.

But now Halo 3 beta comes. i mean we all read the article by Bungie how the beta will look nothing like the final build. how the beta is just for gameplay and fix some bugs, and people should expect to see better with the final build. I mean it was onething when the cows and sheep were taking shots at it, there opinion really didnt mean anything cause they were just trying to hate on a good game.

but then i see someone with a Masterchief picture and says "wow im completely dissapointed with the graphics, i wanted a next gen game blah blah blah" i got sick to my stomach. Does a game being fun mean nothing anymore. i mean really. It wasnt like Halo 2 was the best looking game last gen. Doom 3, Riddick, and Ninja Gaiden looked better than Halo and Halo 2. The fact is Halo 3 looks fun as heck, and the beta shows improvements in the gameplay. and the graphics will continue to improve and will look better by the time of the final build. Halo 3 will probably still score high. consider this it can easily get a 10 in gameplay, a 10 in value(if the campaign is on par with the multiplayer), throw in a 9 or 10 for sound. and probably another 9 or 10 for tilt. does Halo 3 really need a 10 in graphics no a 9 will be just fine. which Halo 3 can get.

Agreed, the Beta doesn't impress because its both entirely downloaded content, textures and all, and also.

ITS A FREAKING MULTIPLAYER BETA.  I never judge a game's graphics by its dev stages.

Graphics are very important but the reason the people bash the Wii is it doesnt add any system specs that werent it last gen except motion censoring. I mean its not just oh graphics dont matter their sticking to last gen gameplay with a new controller. Does the wii support a new havok engine nope. Thus adding less physical reactions like being able to backflip and shoot in air.

As long as Halo 3 provides an evolutionary step in the Halo series i dont care what it looks like. Plus the games that rely on texures and realistic enviroments are horror/survival horror and simulation.
