[QUOTE="VideoGameGuy"]They say other games on the PSN are like this too, anyone know which ones they are refering to?Teufelhuhn
I believe Warhawk is one of them.Warhawk is online only, so that's a strange exception. I don't think it does though, I've LANed that game between my two PS3's before. No online was necessary. I myself have two copies of Warhawk and I have two PS3's.
I find this Capcom Measure to be punishing, as I go offline all the time (when one of my PS3's travel).
I'm hearing the XBLA version also has an issue with the game as well :
"Then I tried to play the sword game that came with it said I had to be connected to Live."
My problem is that as a person that has two PS3's, and as someone that plays offline a lot, this is double whammy for me, an honest customer. I wanted to buy this too, it's a shame but Capcom lost a customer when it comes to this game. I have $51 dollars in PSN money, and although I did think $10 was a bit pricey for this old game I own on SNES and on Wii VC, I figured the new online co op features might be fun (I bought TMNT on PSN, I bought Streets of Rage on XBLA, along with other games like this game). I guess it's Capcom's loss.
The main problem is not telling everyone up front. I heard about this before Kotaku anyways, from a buddy at work who also has Two PS3's (Blu-Ray's in the Bedroom FTW).
Hopefully, they come up with a different solution next time. What about those that have a poor internet connection? It's just unfair.
Here's the other problem summed up by another user :
"Eventually there will be a PS4 and the PS3 PSN will go offline, what happens then? Will they ensure that my PS3 PSN games can be ported to my PS4? No, they'll sell it to you again though!"
This just hurts users in the long run, unfortunately.
