I was INCREDIBLY hyped for the amazing game they showed off last year:

The freedom of swordplay blew away anything ever seen in a vidoe game. And then we find out the truth. They turned it into a brawler/hack and slash with QTE. I could have cried today.

They changed the title to Metal Gear Rising, but yea, i was hugely disappointed. They turned it into a generic hack'n slash now.

thank god I hope that the last and only Rising game. Dont make this a trilogy Kojima (although he didnt really make this game anyways)

This would bother me, but honestly? MGS3 is the last time Kojima made MGS gold. Portable Ops was abysmal, MGS4 was just bad and PW is so-so. Its not like Kojima just recently started crapping on the franchise, this is just a side step in a different direction.

Who knows, maybe this game will actually be fun, but it is a disgrace to the series name. Kojima quit caring about any type of integrity the series had a long time ago. Its just becoming more obvious now.

Kojima hasn't cared about the quality of the series since MGS3. He hates the MGS fanbase and it's blatantly obvious. Everything from MGS4 on has been him intentionally pissing all of the franchise so it will die, but people still eat that s*** up and ask for seconds.

When did Kojima say that? The whining in this thread is hilarious. What we saw is going to be EVERY option and encounter in the game? There will be nothing else to this game now? We know that it is a button masher and that's all? It cracks me up. Like that cutting of the enemy couldn't be a take off on a Ninja Gaiden UT, with other ways of cutting and playing to be seen?

execpt the chair he sat on wasint that one. Someone elses name poped up. Then he sat in a nameless chair then his name poped up. It was a comical trailer and im pretty sure thats why he did that to that persons chair.

Its obvious some had preconcieved notions of what this game was going to be. I never once thought it would be a stealth first game. Hence the former moniker,"lighting bolt action". But hey no game is for everyone.
