Honestly, what's the point of playing as Raiden if you aren't given the opportunity to hack and slash? That's who he is. It's not like Solid Snake how you can just take people out from a distance without being discovered because then there would be absolutely no point in playing as Raiden. The game looks awesome so far. How do you expect to experience who Raiden is and all of his combat abilities in a stealth game? It's not possible, unless you save all of his awesome combat for boss fights. That wouldn't be fun though.

How did raiden act in MGS4? he is a NINJA...did someone seriously expect a spin off game with a cyborg ninja to play like Solid snake, from Metal gear solid? Do people lack this much common sense. Mind boggling. As for the person who says Kojima has lost passion for the game, going by MGS4, highly doubt it. Just because his game didn't match up to your standards of what it shouldn've been..doesn't mean he lost the passion. It's in your head. Time to move on from the MGS serious. Kojimas ideas have simply changed over the years and it worked.

Looks great. Platinum Games means the gameplay will be superb. But I'm not a MGS fan, so maybe that's why I'm not crying. I'll probably buy this.

They're screwing Raiden's character completely **** platinum games and have you noticed the increased downgrade in graphics I mean I know the game is now running at 60fps but come on they could have at lest made the game look a bit better. They should rename this crap to DMC: Rising and maybe then I'l think about buying it.

I haven't been following this game that much, but it looks pretty similar to me. I mean the "before" GIFs kinda seem to show the combat being smoother and more frantic but besides that, not much of a difference. Yet I have to admit the part where he lifted the cow building thing with ease was a little too silly, even for Metal Gear standards.paradigm68

I will say that I liked what the E3 2010 trailer showed and was honestly expecting that. You cannot say I'm in the wrong for expecting that, spin-off or otherwise (I really don't care what the title of the game is or what type of game it is, be it spin-off, canon, sequel, etc.). One way I mean it is that I preferred how the enemies went down in one slash.....

To me, the 2010 trailer has a strong and defined feel to it. There was a fluid atmosphere to it. The new version seems to try to accomplish too much by combining the action game P* Games wants to make while still attempting to keep the "cut anything at will" promise going. That is what may hurt the game.

Also, everyone knew it was going to be a spin-off, especially with the subtitle "Lighting Bolt Action." Why is that being used as an argument against those suddenly not interested in it?

Before anyone replies to this, in my defense, I gave my reasons why my interest for this game is low instead of vaguely saying it looks bad. That doesn't make me a hater. We all watched the same trailer. Some people are stoked for it and others aren't. Why are those with no interest being attacked and labeled as haters?

Everything in the recent video such as the movement and combat seems "light", like there's no sense of weight or friction, it feels like he's cutting through air.

Anyone who's played Dynasty Warriors 7 should know what I mean. The series lost its sense of satisfaction when hitting enemies which completely ruined the game for me, and rising looks to be that way too.

Well it's Platinum games developing it. Already a purchase in my eyes.
