@xantufrog: I'd really take a look at your PC. There's something messed up somewhere that really messes with FS. I haven't had any issues besides poor performing VR and a few issues installing updates at launch.

@Zero_epyon: I mean, do you have suggestions where to look? Because I just don't know. And I have to emphasize - it's not a "me" thing - Microsoft has it listed as a known issue and posted a solution. So whatever my problem is widespread enough for them to have at least given it that much attention.
Some database I need to rebuild? IDK - I'm definitely not doing a system wipe or something if it comes down to that. Seen people doing that to get MSFS issues resolved... screw that. Like I said, I have about 400 games across Steam, GoG, and the other storefronts with basically no issues, so there's only so far I'll bend over for the Windows store games

Can't really say without having access to your computer to take a look. Do you have any antivirus/firewalls installed? They could be silently blocking FS from accessing the internet and pinging MS to confirm your access.
I'm also seeing another work around where you download an iso version of the game and mount it virtually. You shouldn't have to do this though. It's a weird issue.
I think I ran into that error on Xbox before, either it was a system reset or network reset took care of it and it has been out of mind ever since.
Anyhow, I thought this is what PC gamers wanted since Crysis, a game so demanding it required hardware not yet invented to run ideally, hardware maybe a few years and few thousand dollars away; sheesh, make up your mind.
@xantufrog: Lmao!
The image is right for me now... Still doesn’t excuse how odd it is to take a pic of your monitor with your phone...
And I was just taking a lighthearted jab. I meant no disrespect
@goldenelementxl: well I explained why I took a photo instead of a screen grab. That being said, I shouldn't have been so sensitive/snappy - I was fucking pissed when I posted about this. I thought I was done with the issues after last year's fiasco and then it reared its ugly head again. I signed up for GP to play this stupid game because I used to love the old ones.
Played some Command and Conquer today instead, lol. Screw that shit
@xantufrog: I was about to get into MSFS until I tried to buy a good flight stick. Them shits are sold out or marked up everywhere. Then It didn’t run that well on my PC. I was saving myself for CP2077 anyway. And well, we all know how that turned out. I’m this close to jumping off the PC gaming train for a bit...
@xantufrog: Game Pass on PC has been...interesting, to say the least.
For example, I can't play Fallout 76 unless it is installed on the same drive my OS is installed on, and they don't really seem too concerned about fixing it. Likewise, I had problems with MSFS until I put it on my OS drive.
No big deal, right? Wrong, because my OS drive is 512 GB...after Windows and some programs, I have about 250 GB left or so. Not really a whole lot of space for large games like MSFS and Fallout 76....oh, and Halo MCC, too.
So I share your frustrations. Thankfully most games work well enough to not justify cancelling it, but still...come on, Microsoft, get your shit together.
I'd probably play it more but when I occasionally get the urge to fly around, by the time its done updating it'll be gone. Its like you have to predict that you might have an urge to play it in a day and update it ahead of time lol
Yup - my desire to play died sometime in the last day of updating it... we'll see if it runs next time I want to play it
Yeah same. I wish it updated through Game Pass instead of the launcher, too, it's really annoying.
It's such a shame, too, because MSFS is a damn brilliant game, a really piece of great software in almost all respects. Just wish it had some better quality of life to it.
@davillain-: "Should have bought it on Steam."
Lol at spending $60 on one game when it's on 'The Pass'
@WESTBLADE85: no. See response to Golden above instead of just being an ass
I saw it, but... i'll still remain an ass...😁

The Windows Store/UWP is shit lol. Sadly, I would rather work around the issues then fighting it. Plus I like to have my mods.
Edit: I have GP as we speak but their are games I like to buy on Steam and when FH4 release onto Steam, I bought it...for a low price. As of now, I'm playing Narita Boy on GP, really loving the game.
