WTF why do people claim MW1-2 is a FPS for NOOBS? This is a lie and a joke.

Listen calling MW games a FPS for NOOBS is a complete crock of ****. It is a FPS game just because you might not like it you still aim your weapon and shoot just like all the prior FPS games before it have since the dawn of the creation of FPS games.

So i guess DOOM is a FPS for NOOBS? Or Half Life. Or oh wait Unreal Tournament? I mean come on.

Its pretty fun, but it is a casual game.

All the guns have zero recoil to them, and I can use a RPD like a sniper rifle. :?

It's a simple FPS that anyone can pick up and play, that's why so many people call it a noob party. There's constantly grenades being tossed, peeps using juggernaut, campers with sniper rifles, people that only use the P90 etc. Compare that to Unreal Tournament and you'll tell the difference, Unreal is more fast paced and intense.

Play some ArmA II and tell me again that CoD4 isn't for noobs. Its a very straight forward run-n-gun FPS. It rewards spraying with kills. There is nothing difficult, skillful or realistic about it.

Not really why becuase you can camp and have perks and such. All FPS gamers camp and look Counter Strike is regarded as the non noob best PC FPS and you get perks in that.

COD4 is not for noobs... MW2 is. Death streaks with stupid perks; copying weapons, extra health. Doesn't get much noobier... however the great players will still keep on pwning.Next-Gen-Tec

I don't think realism is a factor for something being "for n00bs". And to be honest difficulty and required skill in any MP is directly correlated to the skill of those you play against.

Yes there are plenty of MP gamnes that are considered easy but you will still get owned by someone who is hardcore and plays more then you. So does that make it a noob game? NO!!!

They call it a FPS for noobs because it is possibly the most noob friendly game ever made. The game has ridicules amounts of aim assist. This is the only game were I usaully dont aim for the head because people die so quick its pointless. There is no skill gap at all you take a good player in halo or resistance vs a average player the average player will never win a gun fight. In CoD anybody can kill any one because the game practicly aims for you and you die in only a few shots. Not to mention my favriote aspects the game rewards death. Just got a helicopter? Kill yourself then call it to get a headstart on your next kill streak. One of the biggest reasons people like this game is becuase any noob can jump in and own.

There are a ton of games I find easily accesible but have long term rewards for continued play and experience. Quite frankly I think CoD4 is one of them. WaW too. You get to customize and load out your ****to fit your **** learn the nooks of maps, know the flow of the match and how what to watch and go for....I dunno man. I guess I am just one of the last few old gamers that found MW refreshing, accessible and...well fun. I am also one of the few that isn't jumping on the MW2 is for "noobs" bandwagon.

The problem is you bring up the cheapest gun in the game. It has a bigger clip and is stronger then any other SMG. Any noob could get kills with that thing.

even though the guns in MW have no recoil it still requires skill to quickly aim and shoot....it comes down to whoever has fast reflexes which IS skill...noobs will remain noobs even if the game is easy for them to pick up and play. 1337 players will still show their 1337ness no matter how noob friendly the game is.

One thing I never quite understood about this whole discussion about what game requires more 'skill'.

Since we're talking about multiplayer games, the difficulty is first and formost defined by your co-players, not by the game mechanics. A team of experienced 'hardcore' players is going to wipe out a team of new unexperienced players regardless of the game. That holds true in CS, in Halo 3, in MW, in TF2, BF2.. all of 'em.

Second, a lot of people seem to think that the easier it is to kill someone the easier the game is. Again, this dosent really make sense to me. If it's easier for a 'noob' to kill, it will also be easier for other players to kill the noob. The easier it is to kill somone.. the harder it is to stay alive.
