What I get from the article is that devs are squeezing every last drop of power from the current consoles and we're only 1 1/2 years into the cycle.
Current consoles are just very gimped pcs, they may have some customization but not enough to heavily differentiate from a pc, is not like past consoles that were made with their custom hardware from the ground up, is only logical that consoles this gen would reach their peak sooner, i never coded for consoles but i would guess it is not that different from pc this time around, which is one of the reasons why we are seeing more pc ports this gen, easy port, easy money.

lol, no, they are just getting the last drop of power from xbox one that they can. Nothing else really suggests otherwise, they are just doing everything they can to make the xbox one version on par with PS4 for PR.
There is nothing to suggest that they did anything special to the PS4 version at all really ourside of a normal port at 1080p.

But I understand how saying "consoles" while hiding behind PC takes the spotlight off the fact that the focus of the article is about xbox one and it makes you sleep better at night so carry on.
Seems a lot of trouble to go through just to put 1080p on the box, and I wonder if the transitions between resolutions could be distracting. But if it works and people like it kudos to the devs. It's always awesome to see studios go above and beyond like this.

lol well they ARE consoles. People have an idea of what they are getting and that is the majority of biggest and best multiplats with good optimization for an entire generation (5- 8 years) at minimal entrance price (-$400). Obviously if you pay more you can get more with PC, but some PCs end up having to be upgraded to stay compatible so there are trade offs.

LOL I only made this thread as a joke. I already bought the Witcher 3 on PC last year because they gave us like 20% off if you owned the first 2 on PC.

the resolution kept changing during explosions and stuff and it took me outa the game
stop hyping this crap it is actually a not good thing when you see resolution keep switching back an forth its actually bad just keep it one way the whole time imo it keeps me locked into a experience
i don't understand how it was even a good thing i noticed everytime it switched and xb1 owners tell me i cant see the difference it we cant see the difference why are they changing constantly in xb1 games?

the ps4 doesn't do this most pc gamers play at 1080p so the ps4 is perfect for them the PS4 DOES NOT SWITCH or do magic tricks like the xb1 to pull off taht resolution
and 30 FPS isn't that bad its only bad if it dips below when lots of stuff is happening but that stuff happened even on nes or snes trhere was lag an frame skips since beginging of gaming just deal with it imo

Yeah sorry I didn't notice it. Granted I didn't play much of COD AW but it didn't jar me. You seem pretty sensitive.
Why are you seeing the difference? Why would any of us know? And if it was so jarring don't you think there would have been boat loads of articles or threads complaining about it after COD used it? Dude I get that the fanboys want teh ownage but I don't buy that people really see this dramatic difference. I play my X1 on a 52" HDTV and sit on the other side of the living room. I don't see the major difference when I play a 1080p game or a 900p game. I don't look for it either though. I play the fucking game. When I play PS4 I don't look for where it doesn't match up to 1440p on PC. Its such a waste of gaming time.

Right said. There is no difference unless someone tells you there is in most cases. I love how my games look. I am playing a PC game that I am running maxed and I don't sit there and criticize that the game doesn't look as good as anything on my Xbox ONE. I just play it and enjoy it.
CD are doing their best and scrapping for the Xbone's cause, this is good for 1080p in certain instances.

It is fantastic and truly inspiring seeing CD work so incredibly hard, fighting tooth and nail to accomplish what they can with less hardware.
This reminds me of my grandpeppy and his work with the homeless in the 1990's. My cousins also supported the special Olympics and now CD Projekt is doing their part in the world of gaming.
It does make me wonder what CD could accomplish with such efforts with less handicaps, but either way good PR for the Xbone today. This should hopefully sell a few more copies of Witcher 3 for Xbone.
