Be careful Solid, xbox fans seem to be moved to tears extremely easy by speaking on this topic.
You should prepare yourself for an onslaught of flames from enraged and emotional xbox fans.
I wish games on consoles did this more often, similar to what advanced warfare does with dynamic resolution.
It's a good idea and essentially negates performance issues.
Why do you wish this? Haven't you said yourself there is no difference that anyone can see from 900p to 1080p on consoles?

I didn't say there was no difference, I said it was marginally negligible when playing on a TV at a typical couch sitting distance. I'm all for new forms of technology, I like the idea of a system in games that can scale back the rendering resolution dynamically or increase it depending on the performance demand to maintain solid frame rates, more games need to incorporate things like that.

Then he runs around and hypes PC and claims all consoles suck if xbox one can't come out looking equal or better when all else fails.
It's like these guys don't think people can see what they are doing when they lean on PC to support their fanboyism for a console when it's not looking as good the competitors console. And yes it is rather sad.

So again, if the difference is negligible, why bother? Why not just put the extra HP into frame rate constantly if the difference is negligible.

Because there is still a difference regardless of how slight it may appear to be, if you can do better at any given point in time with what you have available and not at the cost of sacrificing performance, you should.

Hmmmm:
The only perceivable difference at the typical couch sitting distance would be the possibility of a small amount of AA over that of the 1080p counter-part, not to mention unless you saw them side to side on the identical TV's you would not be able to tell. You're pandering on about 600,000 pixels being a huge difference between 900p and 1080p because you're a Sony brown noser and then 1,600,000 pixels being a small disparity when comparing 1080p to 1440p on PC, you're an idiot.
Why does it even matter where the footage is? It's rendering at 900p so it's going to use the identical graphics settings as the PlayStation 4 version and you won't even be able to tell the difference...
But that other thread said that the leaked footage was running at 720p. At least that's what the title said.

That sentence is referring to graphical fidelity, me bringing up the resolution was to explain that it running at a lower resolution affords the Xbox One the ability to operate at the identical graphical settings of the PlayStation 4. Also yes, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference independently, side by side absolutely. Memory is not an accurate record of events, especially unbiased events. You viewing something independently will have skewed and placebo ridden results, that is why side by side comparisons are always done.

Just stop it, dude.
Cows were praying The One version would look like shit. Turns out it looks the same as all the other multiplats differences.
DF will point out all the things human eyes can't see, for ya.
Actually, it was hermits who were saying the console versions would look like shit and a gen behind being that all videos prior were PC footage, look up the threads, but that didn't happen.
No one prays that xbox one has bad games or ports, but it's a fact that they are usually inferior to it's console brother PS4.
I love how you and everyone else without a brain uses the word "inferior" around here. Just because it is missing some depth on a shadow, some grass or 5 fps makes it inferior? There are plenty of games where the PS4 version was "inferior" as well.
Yeah now its not inferior , last gen though that X360 versions of same games had a bit smoother textures here and there or a bit deeper colors etc ... it did matter ... Same resolutions , same fps ... even same graphic settings ... Now that gap is way beyond that .. its not inferior !
Lems, you easily forget dont you...? For 8 straight years you were mocking cows about how X360s multis versions were better than PS3s ..
Anyways.. even if its 1 FPS less is the inferior product let alone if its 5 fps / less res / lower graphic settins all together. If i was you id ask for cheaper price since im getting the worst version there is out there.

Clearly you didn't as you posted them completely out of their context as some kind of smart ass quip implying something they are not, take a hike.
@nyadc: I love that you're ignoring what you said and instead trying to insult me. You got busted, kiddo. No worries. Take it on the chin and move on.
Just a little advice, be consistent. No one can get ya if you are consistent!
Busted? Are you really that delusional? Let me explain this to you because you're clearly a bit slow...
THESE ARE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS THAT IN NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM CONTRADICT EACH OTHER...

@nyadc: You just said again since it'll have the same graphical settings, even though one is running at 900p and another 1080p, that said person wouldn't be able to tell the difference. This is you saying 900p is the same as 1080p. No difference since the graphical settings are the same. Wake the **** up man.
Do you even read or comprehend what you are saying and arguing?
And you admitted you couldn't tell the difference again unless side by side, which this is what it's about.
So...still laughing at you.
If Resolution were everything; the PS2 would've been the most powerful 6th gen console. (rendering GT4 at 1080i)
I've seriously never saw such a pathetic group of Cow-tits any where else except Gamespot. Getting to the bottom of this, performance trumps resolution.
No, the Xbox would have been, well it was, it had 5 1080i games and 40 720p games.

No, you're trying to intertwine two separate things into one context, you're warping what I said to fit your argument. Sitting on a couch playing the same game on the same TV's with the same internal rendering settings with one at 900p and the other at 1080p the most you would perceivably notice would be a bit of aliasing, everything else though would appear the same. That increase in resolution is so small coupled with the fact that the viewing distance greatly diminishes perceivable differences as there is a loss of detail that it would look essentially identical, to the point of being negligible.
You can't comprehend what's being said friend, that is not my problem, I don't care how your brain functions or chooses to interpret things, it's doing it wrong.

Bro, the DC you are trying to spin is impressive, no doubt. But it's right there, in context. 2+2 = 4 but you're getting a 5 somehow, figure it out, I'm not going to be your forum teacher.
@nyadc: I stand corrected. And well, the Xbox technically was the most powerful 6th gen console; excluding the Gamecube's speed advantage.
But the point I was trying to make was that the PS2 was comparatively the weakest (2nd) of 6th gen (hell, even the Dreamcast did things better than PS2 for a while) and it still managed to have 2 games in 1080i...that never really displayed any graphical power. Resolution is overrated unless performance is working alongside it.

Did the PS2 even have component cables to output that 1080i? I never saw them.
@nyadc: Yeah. PS2's component cables were a bit on the crappy side; but are actually compatible with the PS3 as well. For some reason, most games that were progressive scan compatible actually looked better in 480i because in 480p the jaggies were a mess. I remember back then when I actually fell for the hype of God of War 2, thinking it would have a crisp image (remember the ol' Gamepro/EGM days lol) and holy shit did it look like a jaggy, bloomy mess lol. On the other hand, Xbox and Gamecube with component cables were like a different experience altogether with all the vibrant colors and crisp textures. (Oddworld Stranger's Wrath, Ninja Gaiden Black, Starfox Adventures, Splinter cell CT etc etc)

It is fantastic and truly inspiring seeing CD work so incredibly hard, fighting tooth and nail to accomplish what they can with less hardware.
This reminds me of my grandpeppy and his work with the homeless in the 1990's. My cousins also supported the special Olympics and now CD Projekt is doing their part in the world of gaming.
It does make me wonder what CD could accomplish with such efforts with less handicaps, but either way good PR for the Xbone today. This should hopefully sell a few more copies of Witcher 3 for Xbone.
Be careful Solid, xbox fans seem to be moved to tears extremely easy by speaking on this topic.
You should prepare yourself for an onslaught of flames from enraged and emotional xbox fans.
LOL I love the pic. I know 'Ty favors the PS4 and he knows I go the opposite. But at the end of the day that old timer and this old timer love games, and can enjoy them on anything. And that there is why we are friends.

The developer announced previously that the Xbox One edition runs natively at 900p, but the new dynamic scaling feature appears to allow the game to reach 1080p in certain instances.
CD Projekt Red says it's still "fighting for every line of code"...
LOL I love the pick. I know 'Ty favors the PS4 and he knows I go the opposite. But at the end of the day that old timer and this old timer love games, and can enjoy them on anything. And that there is why we are friends.
Just vomited a little.
Clean it up I guess.
@cainetao11: No need, puked in my mouth. Went straight back down, tasted nasty though!
Swallowing huh? Didn't peg you as one who would. LOL
I never saw them.
lol?
Yes, I have about 3 component cables (one monster) for PS2 way back in 2000-2001 since I was HD in those days, alongside my GC and Xbox component cables. PS2 was the first console to have official component video cable support. You should know this, it's been 15 years.
You own a PS2, I wonder what cables you have had your PS2 using all these years...
It's no wonder you dislike the brand, you hardly give their tech a chance to shine when it's relevant.
