Comfort and ease of use - Xbox 360. Features - PS3 (once rumble comes along).

When it comes to function, both work exteremely well and are comfortable.  However, the aesthetic design of the 360 definitely makes it the superior controller.

for me ps3, maybe its because im used to holding the ps1 and ps2 controllers. The ps3 one is light and confortable for yoru hands, so im gunna say that. I used a 360 one once and dident liek it, maybe cuz i wasent used to it,

I only got to use the PS3 in a demo for Motorstorm (which looked really fun), and I was instantly reminded of PS2 (I knew it had motion, but it was disabled), and I hated PS2 controller.

Seriously, they had some sweet games, but I always perfered Xbox and Wavebird over it. This year they'll probably take second place though (Nintendo still hasn't proven itself to myself yet, maybe when it gets more use I'll like it better).

The PS3 controller. IMO, the layout and buttons are better for the type of games I like to play (action/adventure, fighting).

depends. 360's analog sticks and triggers are better. guide button is better. D-Pad is not very good. PS3's d-pad is better. analog sticks are acceptable. triggers (L2, R2) feel very ackward. The fact that the triggers aren't the default gun triggers in Resistance should tell the whole story without saying a word. I'll take the 360's controller for everything EXCEPT fighting games in a battle against the PS3 controller.

Yeah. With a name like Wii-R-US, he's obviously a huge XBOX fanboy too. For overall function and for fighting games in general, PS3 controller. For comfort and most game types where the six-axis feature isn't utilized, the 360 controller.

The Question Sheep ask themselves when in a thread like this is, "Who do I hate more?". The answer is easy, since Sony beat them for 2 generation's now.

I still say the XBOX 360. The PS3 controller is too light, oddly shaped (too rigid, not smooth), and the analog buttons needs to be repositioned. gnutux

PS3's controller has better dead zones on the thumbsticks. for some reason i find the x360's way to sensitive when im trying to line up shots in shooters, like Rainbow six vegas. resistance just seemed much easier to aim.

how do you feel about the triggers? I didn't realize how uncomfortable they were until I switched them to the default gun-firing buttons in Resistance. it felt very ackward. you?

Once rumble hits the SIXAXIS, it will be better than 360's controller.

Analog buttons, tilt function and rumble FTW.

Does the 360 controller have analog buttons?

For everything else, the PS3 (although it would be nice if they could get rumble back in. And making the use of Sixaxis optional in some games. Grumble grumble marvel alliance) For shooters, definitely the Xbox360. (I don't know why this is...maybe the placement of the right analog sticks?) I feel like my right hand is being split open after 30 minutes of Resistance.

360. It feels more solid, and I like the thumbstick layout better. The triggers feel stiffer, and the plastic feels higher quality too. The DualShock made my thumb hurt after awhile on games that used the left thumbstick extensively. I don't like the flimsy feel or light weight of the Sixaxis. IMHO, the 360 controller is the pinnacle of single piece controllers. That being said, I like the dual piece Wii controller a bit better, just because it allows me to hold my hands in a more neutral position and do things like scratch an itch whithout having to let go of the controller, though.

the 360 controller is more comfortable in my hands. the ps1/2/3 controller is too small. i've gotten more than use to it but prefer using the logitech cordless action conroller when playing my ps2.

I was actually really really excited when sony revealed the banana controller prototype for the PS3. It looked to be just the right size. Of course they canned it because all of you made fun of it

I hated it the first time I tried to map the normal gun functions to them in Resistance.
