X360 First half of 09-11 = Dust/Flops. What does early 2012 hold for the X360?

Edit - Read the OP before posting, because I missed a big part at the beginning:

Xbox 360 first party Exclusives in the first half of 2009 Gamespot scores:

Halo Wars (6.5) - Didn't meet the HYPE

Xbox 360 first party Exclusives in the first half of 2010 Gamespot scores:

Alan Wake (8.5) - Didn't meet the HYPE

Xbox 360 first party Exclusives in the first half of 2011:

Upcoming Xbox 360 first party Exclusives for the first half of 2012

Going by the first half of this year and looking into the first half of 2012, Microsoft has seemed to avoid releasing games early in the first half of the year. Is Microsoft starting this to avoid ownage? Or is it based of the fact that Microsoft's first party has been lacking for some time?

This is a problem, because if Gears 3 and Forza 4 both get AAAE, Xbox 360 still has been owned for the lack of releasing hardly anything all year long, just two games that are almost gaurenteed AAAE, but that alone won't place the Xbox 360 over the Playstation 3.

....and there's also the possibility of Gears 3 and/or Forza 4 flopping......

As far as this trend you have noticed, when the creator's of the Xbox Brand departed one by one, it seemed like the suits at corporate hq just have been ridin' on cruise control. It didn't help when the started downsizing, closing down, and selling off 1st party studios...:cry:

Probably relying on too many 3rd Party games and timed exclusives, and Raw Xbox Live profit, I suppose. :P

Nah, the review is postmarked from 2010 and I'm pretty sure it was a launch window title in Europe.

On another though, Kinect really had a lot of dancing games near release =o

Actually, we don't know anything about Halo 4...it could end up being a surprise 720 launch title next year or the year after. (I've been talking to friends about how we just saw a HALO 4 we don't know anything else, :P). Don't fret too much about that side point, my main point is this :

This thread though is about the first six months of the 360's 2012, and Halo's so far have always come out the second half of the year. We also have no indicator of a Too Human 2's time frame at all. Too Human 2 doesn't actually officially exist. :P

EDIT : It looks to be a HOLIDAY 2012 RELEASE according to the official trailer, so that shouldn't surprise anyone considering Halo's long history of releasing at Holiday time.

My post was truthful, and an observation. It's very, very tame and mild, I'm surprised by the quote tbh. By the by, I didn't bash anything. It was a tame post, in fact, I didn't "bash" the 360 machine at all. :?Generally, I would think if one opted to explore SW threads and posts, they could clearly see some true hardcore bashing on machines.To be perfectly honest, I have nothing on those users and their ability to bash a machine. ;) I just have some comments about the direction and management of what's being delivered, to me, the avid 360 gamer.

I enjoy my 360, but I can't say I've enjoyed the direction of the management these last few years, and there is nothing wrong with expressing that point. In fact, I would suggest more do so, and maybe we will see a change. :P Don't HATE, COOPERATE! Let M$ know you aren't happy with this trend. As you can see, my gamerscore in my sig demonstrates I do play the 360 more than most here in SW, but I do wish 360 management would hire some creative types to fix that hole the founders clearly left in the Xbox Brand.

Also, this isn't about me, and notice I didn't make any claims about you, your 360 games, nothing. I didn't say anything. So keep to the topic please.

From their first party I expect very little to nothing.

The 360 is indeed doing poorly on the exclusive front though in regards to 2011.

I dont know, i had more fun with Trechned, Half Minute Hero, Child of Eden than most other games so for in 2011 and are all xbox 360 exclusives

Mr Splosion Man seems amazing too and summer of arcade has 4 titles i want to buy (Bastion etc)
