Sad, just sad. Microsoft has souped up their Xbox 360 console, only have gimped HDMI. This means NO support for the new gen audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD or any 7.1 audio for that matter. It also means NO support for the new international color standard, xvYCC color, which allows for 80% more colors to be displayed on the screen. Also, NO support for DeepColor, which allows for color bit depths of up to 48-bit for the elimination of color banding.
Looks like PS3 has this over the Xbox 360 and caters better to the A/V enthusiast. This is probably because the X360 uses only DVDs and cannot handle the extra capacity to store high bit color depths and 7.1 audio.:lol::lol:
