X360 premium is too expensive for what it offers over Core.

With only 20 gb HD, component cables (this is pathetic if you have HDTV with hdmi), wireless controller (Is that a joke) thats it? I don't see where the extra $100 comes from. And we all know the X360 core system is a joke in itself.

well the HD is £70, the headset is £20, the wireless joypad is £30, thats £120 and in the uk core is only £70 cheaper! plus at least with the 360 you get the high def cables with the premium

yes because we all know that hdmi increasin fidielty by 5000% and offers quadrophonic 6000.1 sound.....

In reality hdmi has one advantage over component, and thats cable length, component is capable of showing 1080p and it works perfectly fine. Hdmi does not offer much of an upgrade over component. this is simple fact.

Hdmi = 1 plug. Component at least 3.

Hdmi = digital. Component is analog.

Hdmi = quality of materials not as important as Component. You still get excellent video with cheap hdmi connections, not so with cheap component connections.

I have never seen component offer 1080p anywhere. I am sure its possible but tell me what HDTV offers that and what console or disc player offers that. X360 HD-DVD add on only can get 1080p through vga. And there are no games that are native 1080p on X360. So tell me where I can see 1080p through component cables. And no upscaled is not the same. I be a fool to think my Samsung dvd player upconverts dvd movies to 720p. Its a trick nothing more.

The only advantage to HDMI is for the content providers. Its a simple digital connection nothing more except one thing it includes copy protection so you can't rip HD content. So every manufacture that has a stake in movie content (Sony) is going to tell you that you have to have it or you are missing out on True HD. What a joke look at all the suckers falling for it

How is anyone falling for it. Digital is the future..and digital transfer rates are so much faster than analog. Hdmi is the future..accept it.

Actually, I was quite pleased with what I got for 400 dollars. And I got the 12 GB model. Not the 20. I was still pleased.

I belive Virtua Tennis 3 and NBA homecourt is in 1080p native on 360, but that's thirdparty multiplatt, so there's a good reason why. MS will never do firstparty 1080p native titles with components, which they have already stated that 720p is their "HD sweetspot". You can translate it to "We don't have a HDMI port yet so there's not really any point to it yet", if you want to. But I'm pretty sure there will be more 1080p native games for X360 tho, within time. It's quite a messy situation if you ask me.

It is definitly worth it if you want to play Xbox-Live even without an HDTV.

For $100, you get:

A 20GB Hard drive ($100)

A Wirless controller ($10 more than the wired)

Communication Headset ($20)

Component Cables ($40)

Ethernet Cable (~$20)

The difference is that the Core is a worthless piece of crap, whereas the Premium is actually a good machine. >_>

Dont tell me 20 gb is $100. I can upgrade PS3 to 200 gb for less than that.

20gb hd, component cables, headset, ethernet cable does not even equal $50. MS obviously puts premium prices on the accessories an its obviously a total rip to the consumer.

It was more the word "free" I got locked up on. Sure you get a month when you pay for it but when it's "free" should it be taken into the price of premium? Then I wouldn't call it "free".

Go back to school and learn math and maybe even a composition/research course to help you find ways to improve your credibility. Economics would be a plus.

No matter how you look at it, getting all that first-party hardware is pretty nice especially when you are saving over $100 than if you bought all those things seperately.
