That's the choices?
I would go 360, just so you can play up to date games, however, it should be pointed out, if you did have a PS2, it does have by far a much, much better library...but it's a classic system, that will go down in history as one of if not THE GREATEST Console of all time.
The 360 is more up to date, and when everyone is talking about a game, I would like to play it.
The PS3, if you can find a used 60/20gig can play PS2 games, which may be a great route to go.
the ps3 can play ps2 games?

Yes, if you can fine used 20/60 gigs, and certain 80gigs.
All PS3's can play PSOne games, but only certain ones can play PS2, that's a great way to go.
This is a multiplatform generation, so you will have access to many great 1st party sony titles, and of course, the fantastic multiplats (DMC4,Bioshock, COD, Dragon Age, Tekken 6, SF4, etc.)
ONly the 60GB model, and certain 80GB models. You would have to buy one used or refurbished. My 60gb died meaning will not play ps3 games but everythng else works good. Not 3 sure if the new 80gb i got will play em but i that why ima keep the 60gb.the ps3 can play ps2 games?

BC PS3 is the way to go, but even a used BC ps3 will run you some cash. Unless the seller is naive to the demand for BC PS3's, you will pay for it. I did and it was worth it.If you get a 20 or 60 gig ps3 which you could probably find at gamestop or the internet then you'll have the best of both world's (Killzone 2 and GOWII) but if you choose between the one's listed above then go with the ps2 because it simply is the best console to date.Which!! will i get more playing time out of? i dont care bout graphics. and whats best for the money?

ps2 is almost same price as x360 arcade so x360 > ps2 any current gen console > prev gen console_rpg_FANThe ps2 is the greatest console ever next to the nes and atari 2600.
Both are great consoles but the PS2 is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar superior at this moment in time. It depends what kind of gamer you are though, if you want long single player epics then go for the PS2 however if you just wanna kill people online then the 360 is the way to go (actually i would say PC :P)
If it was me i would get the PS2 first as i could probably find one for £30. You could then buy hundreds of amazing games for the price of lunch which would mean you could be playing the PS2 for about 6 years and still barely scratch the surface of what it has to offer. Im not sure what kind of gamer you are but there are some people on system wars who when they play the 360/PS3 they say "i cant go back to last gen games, my eyes bleed" etc so if you are one of those people, get the PS2 so the 360 doesnt ruin the experience if you got that first. Eventually get the 360 since its not one to miss too.
