I'm A big fan of nintendo game, and I wanna play SSBB, SMG, MP:Corruption, Zelda TP, and all the other great titles but I am also dying to play Gears Of War, Halo 3 and GTA IV. I CAN buy both but with the little money I get It'll take a while to get the money for it, Especially since I'll be buying games for the one I do Buy at the same time!!

In all honesty I'd say get the 360 pro first then save up and get a Wii later next year.

Xbox 360 has a great game library and the Wii has a terrible game library. Buy Xbox, you won't regret it.

Depends what you're looking for. If you want hardcore games with a few niche titles, the best online service around and... inevitable hardware problems pick the 360. If you want a console with few hardcore games, unrivaled first party support, a lot of niche titles and reliable hardware then pick the Wii.

I have a Wii and I'm getting an Xbox 360 because the Wii doesn't have enough IMO.
If you have online access the 360 is great I mean you can spend hours playing COD, Gears 2, L4D etc.
I dunno, I just think 360 have so many more better games. I'd say Xbox 360.

SMG and MP3 are easily two of my favorite games this gen. Zelda also if you count it as a current gen game. All of those games are much longer than your average sp game and deliver quality from start to finish. The problem is, for me at least, that outside of those titles the Wii just doesnt seem to have anything else going for it imo.

The 360 definitely hosts a far better library at least in terms of quantity and you can expect them to keep delivering. I guess it depends on what you like, but I couldnt see myself only owning a Wii.

I'll Buy few, I'll get all the ones I really want in the first month or so, then just whenever I see something I want.

Oh and btw, What is the difference between X360 Pro and Elite?

Elite plugs into HDTVs better. I wouldn't bother unless your TV is bigger than your room. Also It is black.

Use the Sony credit card discount and get the PS3 for $280 If you HAD to choose between these two, id get neither. The arcade is a gimped console, and you should get the pro if you actually want a 360

The Wii's Library isn't what's terrible, its all the crap shovel ware that over shadows its good games. There are countless GREAT games for the Wii, and more than 1/2 of them don't cost $59 some dollars for a game!

360 offers a better experience. Wii may have games you want right now, but it's slow at the moment so I'll wait a while before you get it.

Until it actually breaks down on you:lol:

Seriously though i'm a new X360 owner myself, and you will want more than the games you mentioned as we always do. And looks like the ones you listed for the Wii are the only good ones there with maybe a few more. The 360 has a good library of games and can easily find a lot more to try out from your original pick, unless you can't be bothered getting the 360 sent back to be fixed multiple of times from what i heard from others. I only had my X360 for a month so can't really confirm from my own experience.

unlike the flamers i will give you what i feel is the truth. if you dont have a good pc it maybe in your best interest to get the 360 unless you really love nintendo games. i know i do and have had a blast with the wii and the wii has by far the best downloadable content, but it still falls to second place to my PC edit: and if money is a big issue than the wii maybe the way to go its games, at least to me, have had a great deal more replay value in single player

It boils down to how much time you have to spend playng games.

I have job, family, etc. Maybe an hour a day if I am lucky for games. The Wii fits my schedule perfectly because for me its pure fun.

Now, if I had more time like I did in school, I would get a 360 first then a Wii.

I've owned both and the 360 has been the better gaming experience for me by far. But if you don't have an HDTV, you'd be better off with the Wii for now.

Since both consoles have games you want to play, I'd ask myself several questions. Is HD important? Is online play important? Will I use my console to play DVD's? Is motion sensing important to me? Your answers to these questions should point you in the right direction. I own all 3 consoles, and personally the 360 is by far my favortie due to its game library and online component.

Beyond the fact they both have the same connection options, you're sorta right.. the Elite comes with a HDMI cable(doesn't it?) while the Pro comes with a component cable. HDMI cables don't cost overly large amounts of money however.

No, there isn't.

The major complaint is the Wii has far, far, far fewer quality games than the 360 (because it does.) There isn't a Galaxy for every Gears, that's the problem. The Wii has far fewer great games.

And listing stuff like Super Metroid is like listing the original Halo for the 360. Super Metroid isn't a Wii game.

Wii can't play games like Final Fantasy 13 or Prince of Persia. Also, I think you'll have a funner time playing GTA 4 than anything no Wii. I used to be a hardcore Nintendo fan but I've converted and have not regret it. Much more mature games for my liking.

Far fewer great reviewed games. What number score someone gives a game has no bearing on whether or not I believe it to be a great game.

LOL, OK - good for you. So I guess in my opinion I'm also making the poorly reviewed 360 games "Great." So I guess the 360 has actual great games and great imaginary games, whereas the Wii only has as many great games in your imaginary fantasy world.

There is no accounting for taste, but when a game is universally reviewed to be mediocre to say that doesn't indicate something is absolutely asinine.

Who said anything about imaginary games? True the Wii does have many poor games, but to say it doesn't have many great games is just ignorant.

Besides, a lot of people bash on Wii Play(yes I'm using this as an example), it got a 5.4 here on GameSpot, Do you think that 5.4 makes an ounce of matter to me or my GF when we are playing it, having a wonderful time together while playing it? Don't think so, she loves the game. Wii Sports got what, a 7.4(7.5?) here, you think that matters to the over 3 million who's bought it in Japan? Don't think so, they apparently believe its a great game(as do I).

Two not so greatly reviewed games that plenty of people(me amongst them) believe is a great game. A great game being one, not always scoring great, but one you can have fun playing. Isn't that what gaming is supposed to be about? Having Fun?

I just sold my Wii to pay for my 360. I used to be a Nintendo fan until motion controls ruined Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess. Get a 360, some Gears 2 will do you good. I also heard the PS3 is nice, with LBP out now and Killzone 2 in February.

I recommend the Wii, but it all depends on the types of games you play. You're much more likely to get your freinds to play the wii with you because with the 360s games you are much more likely to crush them. Also the wii has less gams filled with cursing and profanity so if you are more civilized then that's another point for wii. Also the control scheme is much more intuitive especially with wii motion plus coming out. And you can't beat the Nintendo exclusives. But in the end it's up to your preferences, if you are a total shooter fan then i'm sorry to say the wii just doesn't match up. Still, it's a great console none the less, albiet one that most people on this board hate because they hate so called casuals.

Xbox 360 offers much more great games than Wii right now, also a better online experience.

Get Xbox now Wii later, Wii's going to be a lot better next year so just wait til then to get it.

360 is the obvious choice. the wii, just to give you an indication of the quality of it's library, hasn't had a blockbuster since march or april.

[QUOTE="Wiishy"]Wii can't play games like Final Fantasy 13 or Prince of Persia. Also, I think you'll have a funner time playing GTA 4 than anything no Wii. I used to be a hardcore Nintendo fan but I've converted and have not regret it. Much more mature games for my liking.dotWithShoes
More mature cuz of blood and killing?

you tell me that you haven't hyped mad world... this statement is almost as bad as cows calling the 360 a shooter console and then hyping kz2 to oblivion

[QUOTE="mistervengeance"]360 is the obvious choice. the wii, just to give you an indication of the quality of it's library, hasn't had a blockbuster since march or april.

Yeah but the catalog b4 that aint bad... if your only gonna buy 10 titles in the next 12 months the Wii has over 10 great/decent titles(before the 09 releases) add the Wii Ware and VC titles then its pretty damm good But then again depends what your into...

My brother has a PS3 and this Christmas I debated between the Wii and 360. The Wii has a limited library but between VC and some of the epic games already released, it'd not like I would be bored. Wii games are also considerably cheaper. There are a ton of 360 games I want to play and obviously it has more capabilities. In the end though.. I didn't want my full time job to become exchanging 360's every couple of months. And when the warranty ends, then you're just out of luck. So I chose the Wii.

I said it looked cool, but hyped it? No... I've no intentions of getting Mad World, I personally prefer platformers(which is why I hype Mushroom Men and de Blob).
