Ok. So I was more into PS2 back in the day and wasn't really into the original xbox. Xbox 1st controller was huge! But when the smaller version came out it felt pretty good. I liked the feel of it playing Halo on it. So now after years of playing it I come to love the Xb360 controller for FPS. I even like it more than the PS2 dualshock. The PS3 is a great controller but they stuck to the same design for the 2nd time? WTF? Back than when they announce the boomerang shaped version controller too many people bash on it. I wouldnt mind trying it out. What would you guys like to see change or improved for both controllers?

The only thing I can say that Xb360 controller is it need's to change is its dpad. I gotta say its pretty horrible. I am a big fan of fighting games and this dpad doesnt cut it. That's why I am getting street fighter for PS3. Besides that its a great controller. But I heard they coming out with a new controller so.....we'll see.

PS3 I would say stick with the boomerang design or at least take tips from the logitech controllers. I like it how where its slender around the sides and more comfortable to hold. They need to make there controller more round. Also even though Im use to their analog sticks. I call what they have " mushroom domes ". If they had it like the Xb360 where your thumb can sink in there that would be great. Just help makes aiming quicker and grip better.

Ok maybe Im complaining too much but don't you guys agree? Even though Im more of a playstation fan I gotta give props to what microsoft has made. Plus this time around Im a fan of all type of games and not just sticking to side.

Gears 2, Left 4 Dead, Far Cry 2, Resistance 2. We got some good shooters this year.

i personally prefer the placement of the left analog stick on the 360 controller, but the difference is negligible for me. the DS3 works just fine.

PS3 better for fighting games. Otherwise I prefer my 360

Well the Xbox controller with a PS3 Dpad would be perfect for me. I like the size of the xbox controller...the PS3 is too small/light and the triggers feel like cheap junk.

The PS3 controller is garbage. The design hasnt changed in 11 years except adding analog sticks and some vibration. I have gone through 3 ps3 controllers in 1 year. they are really squeaky and cheap. Why dotn they jsut copy the 360 controller and get it over and done with. When Formula 1 came out for the PS3. the forums wer crammed with people compaling about the ps3 controller not ideal for racing games and how they wished they could use a 360 controller.

If they put DS3's D-Pad and face buttons on the 360 Controller it would be perfect imho.

I agree, I would like it if they also add the DS3's pressure sensitive feature for the 360 controller.

i got a ps3 about a month ago now owning all three (so atleast i dont have to feel like an ass talking about a consol i dont own)

i prefer the 360 controller better bc i has the right amount of bulk to fit in ur hands. the joysticks r well placed as well and i appreciate the indentations on the top of them. the d pad does suck though, i hate playing call of duty 4 and trying to place a claymore and i accidentally bring up night-vision.

ps3 i guess is good for fighters, but there hasnt been enough fighters for me to fool around with that, but i do like racing games better on it.

the main reason y i would choose 360 is because its much better for shooters as the ps3's sticks r place way too close to each other, and dont offer enough resistance, thus u might slide ur cursor too much in a shooter. i also dont own the dual shock, so it feels like a "bag of popcorn".

Most people who didn't like the boomerang controller don't like the DS3 much either, I'm one of them, I would like it too change, the reason I hated the boomerang controller was because it looked even more uncomfortable than the DS is.

for me the 360 controller is way better than the DS3. imo the DS3 is too small and too light.

hell I prefer the xbox1 S-controller over the Dual shock

I really like the 360 controller button placement, analogs, and triggers, everything feels great, except the abortion Microsoft likes to call a Dpad. I also really like the DualShock 3, I like everything except the triggers, they feel really unresponsive, they need more resistance like the 360 pad.

I like both controllers, the 360 controller is a bit better than the PS3 controller but the D-Pad on the PS3 controller feels a lot better than 360.

I'm not sure if anyone else has felt like this but whenever I played PS1 or PS2, it was usually an RPG or a fighter, or sometimes a third person action game. Whenever I played the original Xbox I alwyas played racers, FPS's and WRPG's. Now that there are a lot more RPG's on 360 and more FPS's on PS3, I always feel a bit weird for the first little bit because it isn't the controller I've always associated with the genre.
