Wow, with those 20gigers out there, this is going to be rough, but it's optional. The PS3 optional ones are the ones I like. Honestly though, if given the option, I always hit yes.
Thank goodness I have a 120gig 360.

Out of the box the 20gb X360 only has apprx 14gb of usable drive space. So for most X360 owners that 6.8gb for gta4 is half their usable drive space used up with one game. It's good that Microsoft is making it optional, but it's honestly a feature I don't see many X360 owners using.
alot of 20 giggers here, not good for them at all :(Miss_Wacy
We've done almost 3 years without it, I'm sure we can do another 3 without it as well. If you really want to install a game, delete some content and do so, it's not like the 20GB hard drives are not compatible with the feature. Also, if you want to install many games, just go out and buy a bigger hard drive. Clearly you have the money for multiple games, I'm sure a hard drive won't be too much of a burden.

well i got 107GB left on my 360 elite lol, i wont be installing games to the HD think its kinda sily lol, the xbox 360 HD are pricey from wat i seen the 120 anyway, i was lookin to upgrade my old xbox 360 a few months back with a 120GB and it ws like £124.99 for it :S for that i could get like 4 games, my ps3 250GB HD only cost £50
GTA4 doesn't need it, I haven't played any game that had horrible load times on the 360FFXIII360The Orange Box would do with some of that :)
[QUOTE="Great_Ragnarok"]dammit its meant to be a console. installing on consoles sucks! it should be plug and play. heretrixYou still have that option.
Not on PS3.

depends on the gameYea but if it's going to perform better then why not implement that feature.GTAIV worked fine without any installs.

[QUOTE="killerfist"]Yea but if it's going to perform better then why not implement that feature. I agree with that. but i don't see myself using it alot.GTAIV worked fine without any installs.
Brainkiller05
At least it's optional...SpinoRaptor
Its optional because it 'can' speed up load times, and you dont ahve to ahve the cd rom spinning during gameplay, othewise, i'd jsut run the games off the disc.
[QUOTE="Krigon"]So why are they suddenly implementing this feature?farrell2k
More options for more people.
Don't think thats was the reasoning behind implementing this.
I'm not saying it is a negative. I'm not against installing, i think its a great benefit.
I'm just wonder why they suddenly after 3 years out in the market, they decided to implement installs?
Pressure from the developers? Pressure from the competitors?
or is this someway to make consumers believe they need to buy those overpriced HDD?
