XBL Gold Subscribers, do you think LIVE is worth it?

I just want to know what people who actually use the service thing, sans all the hate peddling the service gets for it's $30-50 per year charge (depending on where you get it).

While I do think Microsoft should lower the price a bit, I find it totally worth it. For the price of a game, I enjoy it much more and for much longer than any game. Once every year, I see a charge made on my bill, acknowledge it, and move on. The only thing that irks me a bit is that two of the biggest Xbox 360 games (Gears and Halo) don't have dedicated servers. I almost forget I'm paying for it. What do you think about the price?

And since this is System Wars, might as well throw in the competition. I do prefer XBL Gold over PSN. A lot of the reasons have to do with connectivity and the streamlined service Microsoft provides over Sony's. Both are great though and get the job done. If you have both, which do you find more enjoyable, regardless of price?

The stat and friend tracking is well worth it, plus you don't have to do any work.

PC online is ok, but its less than bare bones. And you still have to choose a server to connect too X D

i was a xbox live subcriber since 11-15-2002 to probley mid 2007 or 2008 i forgot.

but im sick of paying for this crap dude...pc gaming is better and it's free.

in 5 years i spent 250$ LOL i paid 250$ for my 8800 GT 512 mb in december 2007.

now that's 250 dollars i could of had though.

i wiped my ass with 250$ and flushed it down the toilet feels like LOL...i got nothing to show for my 250$.

i guess microsoft never heard of mplayer.com ? free pc gaming service...was pay at first but then they made it free.

but this free service takes dump on what xbox live offers....every game you set up/hosted/launched with players on mplayer was ran off mplayers highspeed dedicated servers...while xbox live when someone host a game it's ran off their home internet connection.

I think it should be free, but as long as I need to pay to play online then I'll continue to pay. An interesting thing to ask yourself is that if you could play online for free, would you pay for all the other features?II-FBIsniper-II

^^^This is really the pertinent question. I won't be buying an Xbox until I can play my 60$ game online without an extra access fee-so I probably won't ever own one.

It's worth is only because I have to pay for it and I really enjoy having it.

However, if I had my way, it'd be free...or at least cheaper.
