For PSN you can share images when you message your friends. Video maybe, haven't tried it so not 100%.

I would say XBL > PSN > VC.

XBL is just better than PSN. They still have a lot of work on the PSN to catch up to the quality of XBL. Until they do, free or not, PSN doesn't match XBL.

VC is nowhere near the quality of the other two.

1. XBL = 50%

2. PSN = 35%

3. VC = 15%.

Isn't the VC a part of the Wii Channels???

VC only provides downloadable games.

That's my impression.

Darn I clicked Live before I saw PC.

PC is the best, but Live is the best of the consoles.

agreed and nintendo really needs to step up their online quick. They knew that online was going to be big, it was last gen so did they really think they could get away with what they have

Why XBL and PSN vs VC... the VC isn't the internet service on teh Wii... it's the shopping option...

If anyting it should be XBLA and PSNS vs VC...

Perhaps the 3 biggest parts of XBL. Until PSN gets those features(well maybe not achievements since most are too easy to get, I instead make my own personal achievements) I'll probably be sticking with the 360.

Xbox live, you get what you pay for. It beats the crap out of the features that the wii has (I have a wii, and my friend a 360, I haven't had any experience with ps3 online experience so I can't comment on it.) Games that come out get updated graphics, online features, and if the wii console had some of these options it wouldn't make buying the vc games such a pointless option. I'm happy the Wii is constantly updated, has news and weather features, as well as being free. Big plus there.

It's funny when the lemmings speak of the services XBL has that PSN doesn't since PSN will get them so soon especially with XMB overlay.

watching video's from your PC on your 360, priceless

it makes things so much easier... ahem when say.... I wanna watch Hot fuzz like I just did... I LOVE THAT FEATURE

otherwise watching video on my HDTV is rather hard for me to do, seeing as I constantly have 2 monitors hooked up and the DVI to HDMI cable I got doesnt even reach, I have to move things around, dissconnect my monitor plug in my cable, then fool around with Catylist control center trying to get my damn PC to display right on My TV, run a cable to my surround sound system for sound, then watch a video thats clipped on the edges cause for some reason it wont display it in full.... what a hassel

360?

convert for like 2 hours while I go do whatever (PLAY FORZA 2) then click play :D

This is what i don't like about xbox live...you can do everything if not more w/ PC online, and it's free. you have xfire and that's basically the touted cross game invites or w/e. Sure PSN doesn't have those features...but I can't pay 50 bucks (that's like...2 and a half magazine subscriptions) a year for something that i've had for as long as my PC has been playing games online. Even if PSN lacks a smidge or two, it is free, and I won't complain that much.

Xbox Live is better than PSN which is better than VC. But this also begs the question, do you really use all the features? I, who consider myself a mix between a casual and hardcore gamer, don't care much for Gamerscore, achievements, game reputation, etc. etc. Just give me a lag free online service/server to play some games online and I'm happy. A fairly robust buddy system was well wouldn't hurt. I like PSN for what it is, Xbox Live is great too, I just which there was like a $20 a year stripped down version without some of the features I dislike (although this would never happen).

Playstation Network - Simple because it's free. It allows you to play other people online for free. Let me ask anyone who voted for Xbox Live a question, which is.......if you take away the ability to play online the Xbox Live, would you still pay?

The reason I am asking this is because I believe what makes people pay is because they want to play others. The other features come second. Microsoft charges for the most important aspect of online gaming. If Microsoft was confident in those extra features that Live currently has, they would make the ability to play others free and charge for those extra features that you guys brag about. I'd really like to see that. Microsoft knows that most people wouldn't pay for them....which is why Silver users don't get to play others.

this woman is getting out of pocket. wtf...it's only $50 dollars a year. why are people on here talking about "well you don't have to pay" or about getting charged to use it when it's just $50 a year we're paying. not 50 a month or 50 a week...$50 a YEAR. it's not a big deal.

if chipping out $50 a year is that much a dent in your pocket you shouldn't have a console anyway because your priorieties are all mixed up, yah broke bastards. stop being so proud because you got a hand-out...Xbox Live is fun and seems worth it to me. now when Home comes out i might get a little jealous n resentful.

XBox 360 has a unified friends list all on one button for every game, and the ability to send game invites regardless of what game you and/or your friends are playing. You can accept an invite, put the game in and you're taken straight to that game. Easy to set up games in other words.

The 360 and PS3 can both stream music and video from your PC too. Xbox live also has the avoid/prefer feature to make it more/less likely that you will encounter certain players.

This thread is stupid

The VC is where you can only download games.

You play Wii Wi-Fi separate from the VC. and you can't count XBL online gaming if you compare it to VC because the VC isn't where you play the games.

the VC library completely destroys all other librarys easily.

First, I am not a woman. Second, I don't think you got my point. Xbox Live users are paying to play online. They are not paying for all the features they list when they compare Live to PSN. Microsoft knows people won't pay if they made online play free and charged to give you those features. I said, in my opinion, Playstation Network is better simple because it is FREE. When I want to play onine the main thing I care about is playing against someone else! That's what Live users are paying for! To be able to play against others.

My question was, if you take away the online playability, would you guys for just for the features online? Forget taking away the online playability, if Microsoft made online play free but charged you $50 a year to get those features, would you still pay?

The Virtual Console is a section inside of the Wii Shop channel deticated to downloading retro games. Nintendo's online service is called Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or, Nintendo WFC, as they sometimes like to call it.

Not saying it's better, the PC has the best online in gaming. Just fixing what you mixed up.

either way, the paying thing is worn out. $50 dollars once a year is nothing to me and most people. and it's getting old hearing people on here acting like it's a big deal. yes, yours is free. but right now it's s*** like most free things are. you can't do this on it yet, you can't do that on it yet, but just because it's free it's better than everything else out there for gaming?? the simple fact that you're saying that it's free makes it better is stupid to me. if someone gives me something free my first instinct is to wonder what's wrong with it. you get what you pay for. you guys are paying nothing and a little irked that yours can't do everything ours can. so you latch on a petty subject like "well ours is free and you pay {{$50}} a YEAR.".

VC is a download service at least compare it to XBLA... :| Or PSN's game downloads.

Wi-Fi Connection is Nintendo's online service, but they have WiiConnect24 as well. It's different but basically you can call it a service too, so far Brain Age is the best use of this system.

1.PC 2.XBL 3.PSN I don't know why everyone complains about paying 50$ a year for xbl (you can find even cheeper deals on ebay). If you have a consloe, a pc with a internet service than i think you are more than capable of paying 50$ a year think about it. There are about 9 million people paying 15$ a month for wow compared to that 50$ a year is nothing.

Sorry fellow cows but I have to point this out. PSN doesn't have voice "messages". It has voice "chat." There's a difference.

BTW, I voted for Xbox Live. After Home comes out and update 2.0, I might have to change my mind, though.

Easiest vote ever... XBL is far superior, even if you have to pay. I like some of the features of PSN, and could see it really improving over time. VC is sorely lacking and will probably never offer anything close to the other two... so I don't expect much more from them. Why do downloads take SSSSSOOOOOOOOO long on my PS3, but are lightning fast on 360? Do you get what you pay for?

That's the main clincher for me. A guy I know can be playing something else and yet I can invite him and have him join with no problems.

PSN is cool, but it has some ways to go. XBL is very nice though, you definately get what you pay for I guess :). I'm not a fan of the VC though.

I will say PSN

because it has not only classical games from the past

but they also offer downloadable games that design specifically for PS3 (this is what Live don't have)

as for VC, they don't even high-def those classical games like PSN and Live does

(oh~ well, Wii itself is not even a high-def-able console, never mind)

PSN>Live>VC

it's obvious you never even tried Xbox Live before because Live has both the things you just said it doesn't have.
