XBLA's Limbo is this wensday who's excited? 56k no

So a very unique puzzle platformer is releasing this wensday, XBLA's Limbo.

The game takes place on the edge of hell, Ala Limbo. the protagonist is there to find his sister.

bought a load of points, and this is going to be the first game i buy.

As i said in a thread very similar to this, yesterday ; I'd rather waste the money on something half decent, like chlamydia.

Main Character reminds me so much of the Boy from A Boy and His Blob. It's like as if they failed to stop the Shadows of their world and covered the entire world in darkness and the Blob is no more but the Boy is still alive.

When I get the money, I'm def. downloading Limbo :). The only problem is, my 360's ethernet port is broken, literally :|. I'll just use my brothers I guess...

EDIT: Will I be able to purchase it, using my HDD on my brothers system--then play it on my own? The Mass Effect 2 DLC didn't let me :(.

Couldn't disagree with you more. Braid is better then most full price retail games. Not only is the gameplay great & puzzles ingenious, but the story & theme is surprisingly deep & awesome. If Limbo is half as good as Braid I'd pay double the asking price at least.

Indeed, Braid was better than many 60$ games i have played and i will buy Limbo day one as it seems

Quite obviously you socialise in a very small circle my friend. Braid was beyond boring ... I know people who would disagree, but that's them.

I am definitely going to check it out at some point, but I am just swamped right now. I absolutely love the style and look of this game.

It also relied to heavily on having a "deep" story, but it was very predictable which kinda ruined it imo

I partially agree with him, but Limbo looks to be much better then Braid

It looks great but its only 3 hours long

£10 for 3 hours entertainment is perfectly acceptable in my opinion. especially when braid was so well done and the puzzles very rewarding.Vinegar_Strokes

Besides, this gen's average is around 10 hours per game (for $60).

If we reallywant to judge a game before playing it based only in the play/price criteria, Limbo's price is perfectly acceptable.

I hope it gets a PC release, it looks really interesting.

Overall, DeathSpank is one of the better XBLA games i've played. However its pretty damn short and there is absolutely no replay value.

I disagree. I don't hold a game to lower standards just because its a downloadable title. Besides, what about downloading a game makes it inherently inferior to one that comes on a disc? Steam says hello by the way. So does Torchlight and Diablo 2 and just about every other 'loot game' on the market that is longer and has much more replay value than DeathSpank.

Castle Crashers at least had on-line co-op, new game+ and an unlockable difficulty, i.e. replay value. Anyways, I won't derail this thread any longer, I was just replying to one person's quandary.

I paid $5 for Torchlight. You weren't talking about price though, you were talking about 'loot games' and you're wrong.
