xbox 360 = 147 games & ps3 = 37 games

I was looking at gamerankings and xbox 360 has 147 games not including xbla games.

The ps3 only has 37 games and more than half is multiplaform.

I've never knew xbox 360's gaming library was that large compared to ps3's gaming library.

147 games / 22 months = 6.7 games a month

That is not what matters. What matters is the number or percentage of quality titles.

Check the percentage of the AA titles and above for both consoles and the duration for which it has been out. You will get your answer.

This can simply be solved by finding the number of 360 games released during it's 1st year. The 360 had around 40 games during the 1st 5 months if I believe

very true. It may take longer for most devs to get used to the ps3. but games will come faster and faster.

Where did you learn to count? I just went through the PS3 list and it was 50 games that have been released as of Tuesday. Makes me wonder how much you embellished the 360 count. Lemmings and their math.

EDIT: Just counted the 360 games and it was 135.

Don't get the wrong idea, im a manticore at heart. I see all sides.

360 does have more AAA and AA titles yes. And yes, the ps3 isn't doing so hot at the moment. But neither was the 360 around this time in the 360's life. it's just too early to say its the biggest flop in gaming history when it isn't even a year old.

i'll say this from my stand point, of when ever im in a store were they sell games, I noticed the 360 after 10-12 months have way more games than ps3 after 10 months.The_Rayzor

at my local Gamestop its' sad. PS3 barely even has it's own section. It's just a single shelf between ps2 and 360's walls. It's hard to find it's so small

There certainly is a compelling argument towards favouring the Xbox360 over the Playstation 3, at least for the time being.

if i remember correctly 360 owners had to wait for some quality titles. You guys talk as if you opened your 360 for the first time and all these amazing games just popped out.

Also Quantity =/= Quality, how many of those games are actually worth playing? And the 360 has been out longer, i would hope that it would have more games than the PS3, otherwise that would be considered a huge failure.

Yes but the 360 didn't haver any other next Gen. systems to compare itself to at this time in it's life. Sony knew the 360 was coming out first and so far it has proven to be the best with it's ease of development, Quality games and Quantity of games.

The PS3 is still waiting for it's big title to come out and it's been 9 months already. The system wasn't worth the $600 and it's still not even worth the $500. Most people buy a gaming system with playing games in mind. Unfortunatly I can play the majority of PS3 games on my 360 and they look better and run smoother. So where is the justification of spending all that money on something that so far has been infior?
