Well, demoes and no HDD, you couldn't PLAY xbox 1 games even IF you wanted to, you'd need the software emulation DOWNLOAD first...

The core was discontinued, this is now the new core pack. How is this a bad sku? The core was $279 and this is $299 due to the memory card, HDMIand wireless controller. It is the exact same sku as the core with wireless controller, HDMI and memory card. Why is everyone overeacting?

After the fall they will resell this for $199. It is obvious what microsoft is doing. They are pulling a sony.

Anyone else see the humours irony in someone whine about Demo's yet being named after them ? Thought so.

Why bring up the 40GB PS3 ? I think it's rather obvious that the new Core SKU and the 40GB are not in directly in competition with eachother like the Premium/Elite and 40/60/80GB PS3's. It is geared more towards those who make the mistake of considering Wii.

That would be worthless. MS already screwed up and they can't reverse what they've done. Developers will never be able to make HDD a standard without MS willing to screw over some of their audience that previously bought into the Core SKU. The damage is done and they might aswell continue to offer the value priced alternative for people who don't give a squat about online.

I was gonna get this for some Mass Effect action, but in recent days my opinion has changed. Why? Well, other than that Mass Effect is pretty much the only game I want on 360, this package is $299. Does it really have to be more. It should be the same price as the Core, or $250.bstarter29

The Core is $279.99. This package is also $279.99 and you get an HDMI output, wireless controller, 5 arcade games, and a memory card.
