If it's real that's nice for IPTV users or whoever but the rest of us only need the premium really. Sad these cows can't get that through their heads. They keep claiming we have to buy a HDDVD drive. Sony forced Blu-Ray on you MS didnt force it to their owners so dont claim we need it especially since most people won't change formats anytime soon. And secondly not everyone is gonna use IPTV.Â

How much of a gap was there between when the PS2 came out and when the PS2 slim came out? 4 years? If they're manufacturing a new 360 version now, how long until they release it? Another 6 months to a year? Doesn't sound like an apples-to-apples comparison does it?

That's how I feel like I got cheated buying a premium for $400 when I could have waited and got the elite for only $85 more. My 20 gig hard drive is full so I tried to swap it out but my 360 only saw 20 gigs still. Now ms is selling a 120 gig for $199 so I can watch the 720p movies and videos on live.
I have a feeling that HDMI is going to be required for IPTV. Do you really think content providers are going to stream high quality content through a connection like component without any copy protection? I think not.

And you could easily use the same argument for whenever a price drop happens. "I could have waited for that $100 price cut!" Waiting has its advantages, of course, but by waiting you also forego playing all the titles that are already out for the console.

According to rumors, the black is supposed to be a special limited edition. Once it's run its course, Microsoft will go back to the white scheme and HDMI & the 120 gig will become standard features. I fully expect that once it does that this will become the new premium and will be priced at $399.
The current premium, with the 20 gig drive, will become the new Core.

I know that a price drop would happen eventually but I did not know my 360 would become obsolete only a year later. I thought it was great to be able to get new movies and shows I could record for cheap on the component cables. I should have know that the movie companies would clamp down and make ms use hdmi.
